I'd give 10 stars if I could
Sorry I wrote a book here. For those of us with ADD (like me), in summary, this is an excellent monitor given the price. For everyone who wants to read the long version :-D I’d give it twice as many stars if I could. I remember my first ViewSonic monitor back when I was doing graphics work in the late 90s before Windows 98. It was an 18” CRT that took up my whole desk but it was cheaper – at $1200 – than any other comparable monitor. It was a great monitor and served me very well. I’ve had several ViewSonics since and I will admit my bias. In fact, I’m using a 24” one here at my desk as a 2nd display for my Dell all-in-one (company issue computer). So anyway, I wanted to hook up a 2nd monitor to my MacBook at home so I could both shoot tethered and edit photos on a decent screen. I didn’t need a huge display, just an improvement over a 13” laptop display. I’m not doing professional work so having the ability to exactly calibrate isn’t important to me. I just wanted reasonably faithful color rendering, flicker free display with decent saturation and uniform display. But when searching for an inexpensive monitor I didn’t rule out any others and kept an open mind. I ended up with this one and I’ve been very pleased with it First things first: It comes in three pieces that you put together with no tools. Base, riser and display. It snaps together, you plug in a power cord and cable of your flavor and you’re done. It’s auto recognized in Mac and within moments you’re done. I’m primarily a windows user and my experience on that OS is far greater and I find that current versions of Win7,8, etc also have no issues with these displays. I have a mac because it was a gift and my old desktop died on me. So for the monitor, its an IPS display and the color is excellent and the display is uniform across the entire display field. There is a faint bit of hazing at the edges but it is a) only noticeable with a very dark background color and b) it is a characteristic of IPS displays in general, not a fault. I’m using it for remote shooting with my Canon T6 and the Canon utilities, Lightroom and Photoshop CC (which sucks, by the way and I’m moving to GIMP). Love the color, love the size and the clarity. So, for about 15 times less than my first ViewSonic monitor, I get one that weighs nearly nothing, takes up so little space on my desk, and has a good bit more viewing area.

High quality monitor with a lot of features for home use, and small office.
I purchased a ViewSonic VX2276-SMHD 22-Inch Super Clear IPS LED Monitor on amazon.com because I have a 13.5-inch Yoga Pro laptop, which is very small for doing homework. Although I am a university student, this monitor would be good in home or small office as well. This 22-inch monitor was intended for a home or a small office. Although, there are many features that makes a monitor worth purchasing, its designs and features, cost and shipping, and accessories are most influential. Design and Features ViewSonic brand is well known for manufacturing high quality products and they did just that with this 22-inch monitor. This monitor is very versatile with connectivity options. It has a DisplayPort, HDM, and a VGA port. HDMI and DisplayPort serves as an interface to connect the monitor to all compatible devices while VGA is used to connect a PC to the monitor. This monitor offers many of features and designs that can be found on larger monitors such as: • Super Clear IPS and panel technology • Frameless design • Versatile connectivity • Full HD resolution • Superior color rendering and intuitive settings ViewSonic offers number of features that appeal to wide variety of consumers. It offers a full HD resolution which is better for picture quality than a standard definition. It provides astonishing clarity and detail, whether it be while working on picture editing or enjoying the latest in multimedia entertainment. It is also designed with a dual integrated speaker which makes a great realistic sound for playing music and movies. The monitor is very thin with a frameless bezel which makes it very light weight. It weighs about seven pounds making it possible to be used for multiple monitor display setup without any problem. Cost This monitor costs $129.99 which is very expensive for a 22-inch monitor. Most consumers expect an average 22- inch monitor cost about $100. The ViewSonic monitor is more expensive because of its exquisite looks. Most companies do not focus on designing 22-inch monitors because of their low demand. However, with its frameless design and super clear IPS, this monitor has a lot more to offer for that price. Shipping and Accessories The product was received four days after ordering. It was shipped in good condition without any damages. As soon as it came, it was plugged in using the cord provided. It came with a few cables such as a power cord, VGA cable, HDMI cable and a sound cable. This product also came with a stand and two pieces to bolt together. The manual was not found in the box but everything was simple to put together. However, this may not be so easy for everyone. Overall, this monitor looks good and performs well. It has more connectivity options than most 22-inch monitors. All these put together makes this monitor a good bargain.

Just what I wanted
Arrived earlier than expected. Display looks great. Others have complained about the base. It isn't a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have other options. The base tilts a bit, but does not adjust vertically. (Base actually seems heavier than the display.) I have a Mac mini as my primary computer, but I also wanted the VGA connection as I have an older Mac desktop that I wanted to access and wanted to replace the cumbersome CRT monitor (also a Viewsonic). Somewhere I've read of problems interfacing a digital display with an older, analog connection, but I've noticed no degradation in the signal and the picture looks great. So, I'm very pleased in that regard. The older computer does like a different resolution, not available on this monitor, but I haven't suffered for it. My only complaint is that the disk that was supposed to come with the display is missing. I contacted Viewsonic customer service first via email. They never responded to either email, nor did they even acknowledge same. So, I reached out to the vendor who acknowledged the email, bit said the phone number I'd listed was wrong-yeah, bad auto fill!-and they needed to speak to me before they could send me the disk, which made no sense and annoyed me somewhat but I got over it. I did not contact them (doesn't seem like I should have to. Just send me the disk!) and it may be there isn't anything on the disk that I need. Or maybe there is. I don't know, but I ain't sweatin' it. One last thing, 22" is not a large monitor, so if you might want to consider that. It's fine for me, though.

Awesome monitor - was debating whether to give it 4 or 5 stars, I was going to do 4 stars only because its not VESA compliant (no mount), and I REALLY wish it was because other than that its perfect - the brightness and contrast are great, esp the brightness I was impressed by; and viewing angles obviously are good since its an IPS screen, the settings are plenty and the monitor is SO LIGHT and THIN!! Super easy setup! I went with 5 stars because for how classy and sleek and nice it is, its a great price. My ONLY other mini complaint other than the lack of it being mountable, is ... the excessive "VIEWSONIC" logos all over it! aka, on the bottom edge in the front, then in large font directly below in the middle of the monitor stand, and last but not least.. in even greater font... "view sonic" in big white letters on the back of it. Like ... it's a little much! But, super good monitor, GREAT for gaming, its extremely responsive and I noticed no motion blur or lag at all. love it.

22" version supports 15KHz
This is a nice monitor. Very thin at the top and a little box at the bottom rear. I bought it to use with an Apple IIgs which needs 15KHz. Happy to report that the 22" version also does 15KHz and it works great.

Stellar Monitor! Best Bang for your Buck!
AMAZING MONITOR. I was more than surprised. It's beautiful, light weight and constructed really well. I didn't have any issues putting the base on it either, some others scared me prior to purchase saying it was faulty but its not. The way they set it up is pretty fool proof and easy to assemble. Its sleek, modern and runs my games with very nice colors. I can't believe the price of this monitor to the quality ratio, I am now officially sold on using ViewSonic monitors for future buys. High quality at great pricing. Not much more I can say here. If you need a reliable, high quality monitor for a good price, look no further! Definitely buying another one soon. Oh and the built in speakers have very nice audio! Plus it supports Display Port. Definitely recommend this monitor! Love it love it love it!

PICTURE PERFECT - A+++
I am very impressed with the quality of this monitor and also with how great it looks. I was reading online for weeks trying to decide which monitor to buy. When I found this one it took me a while to make up my mind as this brand wasn't well known by me. Well, let me tell you that I am extremely pleased I selected this monitor. The picture is excellent, it is very thin, and it looks amazing. Now I am totally in love with my desk and can work from home with no issues. Ah, one feature I really enjoy is VIEWSPLIT. The latter is a feature of ViewSonic which allows you to split your view on these monitors. It is basically like having multiple monitors within a single one. If you have a moment, search for that feature online and watch a video. If you still not sure whether to buy this or not, let me tell you that you will not regret it. GO FOR IT! :)

Excellent Monitor
Very sleek and stylish monitor. Great for every day use, ok for light gaming. Base is heavy and made of metal, very solid well made monitor. Has HDMI, Display Port and VGA. Beats me why companies are still including VGA... Very happy with it none the less.
