Beautiful knife
Nicely balanced, factory sharp (hone it a little on an appropriate sharpener - 16 degrees, for a great edge). Thin Japanese blade doesn’t stick to food. As a bonus, it looks great too.

Beautiful knife!
Now this is how a knife should be made. It's really hard to beat a hand forged knife made in Japan.

The only one you need!
Very sharp and durable. Hand wash right after use and air dry.

Significant Fedex Delivery Problems
The Shun knife is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The Fedex delivery was terrible. House of Knives was of little help.

Beautiful knife. Dull out of the box
Have been wanting one of these for a while. got it and was very disappointed. My current $30 Victorinox chef’s knife is normally sharper than this! How am I sure? tried dragging both thru the paper it came with. Old knife did it with ease. This one struggled. Not only that but dragging the blade against my fingernail yielded no resistance. Will be returning this and finding another japanese brand to go with instead.
