A welcome addition to my selection of herbal teas
I mostly drink herbal tea these days and love trying new varieties. I had not come across mullein tea before so just had to give it a go - especially as it has a long history of traditional use stretching back to Ancient Greece! I'm not sure about warding off curses and evil spirits(!) but it definitely sounds healthy! Although I mostly use tea bags out of convenience, I do prefer to use loose tea, partly for the flavour and partly for environmental reasons. It also saves having to check to make sure that tea bags are fully compostable in my garden compost bins. A word of warning about this tea - open the pouch with caution as the leaves are very light and tend to fly away if you open it too vigorously! As it's an unusual variety, I was a bit concerned that it might be one of those teas that are good for you but don't taste very nice. However, I liked the flavour - difficult to describe but quite mellow, rather like green tea which I drink a lot. It certainly doesn't need sweetening in my book, but then I never sweeten any kind of tea. I like the ethos of Indigo Herbs - supplying organic, quality assured products, and working with eco-conscious suppliers. I also like the fact that they are local to me in the West Country - although was surprised to see that the tea comes from Bulgaria! Just one little niggle: please amend the "Inidgo" typo in the product heading as it doesn't look very professional!

Mellow tea with no real taste but easy to drink
For me this tea has a similar consistency and taste to marshmallow tea leave. At two teaspoons per mug, I find the pack a bit small bit small. I’d never heard of this tea before so maybe it has lower availability. I usually just drink straight from the mug after the leaves have settled, but with this one the leaf pieces are quite fine so I had to strain it. It does still leave a bit of a small particle residue but nothing you can really notice when you’re swallowing, as long as you don’t drink the last sip. I didn’t notice any particular flavour to it, so it would probably be a good gentle introduction into green teas as I found it mainly just tastes like hot water.

This tea was beautiful
Such a pleasure to drink this tea, has a really earthy taste to it, I'd say it's closer to a British English Tea than a fragrant or herbal alternative, although it's unique in it's own right. The tea leaves are a beautiful green hue, with a bud like appearance and it tastes decent, gives a gentle invigorating feeling for your health and I'm sad that I've run out, as it was very enjoyable without the need for caffeine or any addictive's. I read this is a natural healing tea somewhere, and I can only say I felt slightly more energised than usual without my immune system going into overdrive, I'm normally so tired and buggy so any added bonus to help with this is fantastic and I'm very grateful...
