Excellent deep cleaning and minor defect improvement for automotive glass.
I used both the 6" and 3" sizes of these pads to polish all of my car's exterior glass in preparation for a 2-year ceramic glass coating. Used a liberal amount of Griots glass polish compound to prime the pads and Griots G9 and G8 polishers which are fairly short-throw DA polishers. The main goal of these pads is to bring the glass back to a perfectly clean uncontaminated surface prior to coating it. Removing water spots, any other physical contamination, and performing a deep clean of the glass surface that is unlikely to be accomplished with cleaners or chemical decontamination. These pads did a brilliant job of this and MAN does clean polished glass look amazing. You do have to have reasonable expectations about glass polishing. Paint and clearcoat can be compounded and polished to remove a majority of superficial scratches and defects, but that's not quite the case with glass. Yes you can make scratches and defects in glass a *better* to an extent, but don't expect to completely polish out scratches, chips, or deep wiper marks. If you're looking at these pads to remove damage to your glass, they will *improve* some kinds of lesser damage, but *fixing* damage may not be reasonably achievable. Fixing glass damage is a much more difficult and involved process, and often makes more sense to replace the glass. It's still worth using these pads because just by removing hard water spots, contaminants, and oxidation that you may not even be aware of could clarify the glass significantly. The pads held up really well and I only needed one of each size to do the whole car. I cleaned out the pads 5 or 6 times when they got clogged with old compound with a medium stiffness nylon brush and misted the clean pads with distilled water before reapplying compound. I completely washed out the pads and kept them because they appear to have some life left after doing a whole car.Keep in mind these kinds of pads generate a good deal of heat, which could damage and discolor automotive glass if it's allowed to get too hot. Maybe only do one full pass over a section, then go work a different section while it cools off and come back later for additional passes. If you can work indoors or at least in the shade, that would be ideal.

Works great.
Works as designed. Thin pad. My glass turned out great.

inexpensive, seemed durable, worked well.
These were cheap and worked well. They did not shred or come apart easily. I was able to polish scratches out. It took a bit of time and I think my rotary tool was a bit under-powered. I would try these again.

My Arms Are Now Officially Buff, But My Windshield Isn't Perfect
Okay, so I bought this Griot's Garage Fine Glass Polish because my windshield looked like it had been permanently decorated with 14 years of water spots. Honestly, it was like looking through a Jackson Pollock painting, but instead of artistic splatters, it was just mineral deposits.I hooked up my orbital buffer and went to town. Let me tell you, this stuff works! The water spots are GONE. I mean, G-O-N-E. My arms, however, feel like they've been doing bicep curls with a small car. Here's the thing: while it obliterated the water spots like a tiny, aggressive army, it didn't quite vanquish the tiny scratches on my front windshield. I was hoping for a "brand new, straight from the factory" level of clarity, but it's more like a "significantly improved, but still slightly weathered" situation. So, four stars because:Pros: Water spots? Dead. My windshield is now significantly less abstract. My arms are now impressively toned.Cons: Didn't quite erase all the tiny scratches. Maybe I need a diamond-infused buffer? Or a team of trained squirrels with tiny polishing cloths?Bottom line: If you've got water spots, this stuff is your savior. If you're looking for miracle scratch removal, maybe temper your expectations. Still, for the price, it's pretty darn good.

These pads combined with the griots garage glass polish are amazing
I wish I had taken a before picture of the shower door of the house we have just moved into. While we are building our house we rented a property from a friend of ours and they told us the shower door couldn’t be fixed because it was completely covered in water scale. I just laughed and told him I had a solution. My friend made fun of me and didn’t believe me but I brought in the griots garage glass polish and these pads and I use one that I have used probably 40 times which is why I ordered a new set. In no less than seven minutes the door was completely clean and clear and my friend couldn’t stop yakking about how amazing it was. It completely blew his mind. A few days later he and his wife came over and asked me if they could see exactly what I had use to clean the shower door because they have a friend who owns 30 rental properties and this is always a problem when people move out. It works great on automotive glass as well and that’s primarily what I use it for.

Works as designed
I wasn’t sure about these glass polishing pads as they were 6” and I have a 5” backing plate for my DA polisher, but I had no issues using. I paired with Griots Fine Glass Polish and the combination was solid. The pad retained polish and spread without any issue. Cleaning the pad was a bit more challenging than a standard paint polishing pad, possibly because these are really thin and do require a bit of scrubbing to remove polish after use. I’ve only used once, so I’m not sure on durability, but since it’s a package of 3 and minimal use per car, I’m not worried.

Only good for a few uses
Pads are great, except the backing has begun separating after two uses.
