CDN AD-DSP1 Replacement Probe For DSP1

I use my DSP1 digital reading meat temperature all the time, and decided to get a back up replacement probe just in case I need it.

Bought the sensor and monitor unit. Used it twice and the probe died. Bought a replacement probe and used it three times before it failed. Can't get in contact with the manufacturer either. A WASTE of money.

This was a very good quality replacement that worked flawlessly - probably the better of the original. And very reasonable price..

Kinda odd reviewing a replacement part for something that didn't work from the start, but I think it wise for anyone relying on using one of these thermometers to have at least a few of these replacements on hand and ready to go. Yes, if the first one worked at the beginning you wouldn't need a backup, however, like a good Boy Scout... "Be Prepared."

I bought this probe a couple of years ago and paid about $6.50 for it. Now AMAZONwants $33.00. That's 5x the old price. A new thermometer, including a new probe is only $19.88.

Burnt my first one up on the grill. Thought I would pay a lot for a replacement, but was surprised at how inexpensive it was so I bought two. No more over cooked roasts

seems to work fine but as the first one stopped working after about 10 uses I do not have a lot of faith yet

Material & look appeal great. Heavy duty stainless cable & probe. But the probe is not calibrated to my thermometer display.
