Nice buffer tube in V1 position
Does a good job as a buffer tube. Gave a different character (a little more organic sounding) to my Randall RM100 guitar amp.

Nice Tubes
I use these for the preamp in my Doge integrated amplifier and in V1 of my tube guitar amps when I'm looking to reduce the gain from a 12Ax7. The Tung Sols have the closest tone I could find to NOS RCA 12AX7's. I'll sometimes spring for the RCA12AY7's but they are getting quite expensive, and the Tung Sol is an excellent and affordable alternative.

Only lasted 6 weeks
Sounded fantastic in my Orange Micro Dark Amp head for about 6 weeks before it died and I had to put the old tube back in.

Tung-Sol 5751--Good alternative to expensive N.O.S. 5751
I compared the Tung-Sol 5751 to a N.O.S. Raytheon 5751 black-plate in the V1 position in a Fender Concert 2, and the differences between the two were relatively small. The Raytheon tube was a bit sweeter-sounding and spongier-feeling to the fingers, but the Tung-Sol was a bit fuller sounding. Overall, the Tung-Sol is a good-sounding and well-made tube in Russia from the current production, and a good alternative to expensive N.O.S. stock.
