Looks and feels Premium
Update 04/01/23. I bought a 2nd one for an elongated toilet. The installation was easier this time since I ignored the instructions from the manual lol. Better instructions: 1. Turn off the water and drain the toilet bowl tank. 2. Put a pan under for water leakage and disconnect the inlet hose from the tank bottom. 3. Connect the water inlet hose and L shaped end of white bidet hose to T adapter. It's easier to do this before you install the T. 2. Connect T to tank. 3. Then installed the mounting bracket, in my case, as far from the water tank as it would let me so the seat can snap into place later. Pull the bracket towards you as you tighten the screws. Make sure the washer is installed the way the picture shows in manual (the only time I followed the manual). 4. Attach the bidet hose to toilet seat 5. Slide toilet seat onto mounting bracket until you hear a click. Check the button on the side to make sure it is not still depressed. When properly in place the toilet seat does not shift at all. Try pulling the seat towards you. If it slides forward, you didn't push it in far enough. This is the cause of all the reviews who say the toilet slides, shifts, or doesn't stay in place. Important: Ignore the instructions about turning it 1/4 past hand tightening with a wrench. You only need to hand tighten. In my first install, I used a wrench and overtightened it causing it to leak until I added plumbers tape. This time I only hand tightened, no plumbers tape and everything was fine. You just need to tighten it as much as you can by hand. These hoses all have rubber gaskets that will create a seal. If you overtighten it, the seal won't work properly and you will get a leak. Plumbers never use a wrench on these kind of connections which I learned later. You can always tighten with a wrench if you see any part leaking after you install. In my case, that wasnt needed. For reference, I have left my original review. Note that I no longer have a problem with wiggle in that toilet either after fixing it. After more 2 years, the 1st bidet is still working great! I've had to remove the spray tip a few times to clean it (easy), but otherwise no maintenance needed and no leaking. I still think this is a great manual biddet and that the bad reviews are due to bad installation. I don't know what people are doing to break that lever, for example. Did they twist so hard it somehow broke? Now my only wish is that I had an outlet behind my toilet bowl so I can install an electronic bidet. Cold water bidet in a new York winter is brutal! Lol But way better than not having one at all. 05/30/21 original review. I almost didn't buy this due to some of the reviews, but I'm glad I did. Replaced my tiny Dual Max Toto toilet seat (round) with this one. The hole is the same size length, a bit wider on the sides which is nice. I wish it was longer but I've already resigned myself to fate having gotten used to the tiny Toto seat. The seat stays up when needed and soft closes. It covers the entire back of my toilet so there are less places for dirt to show, and it comes off easily for cleaning. 1. Pretty easy to install. I overthreaded the t valve and had a scare (it leaked immediately from the little water left on the bottom of the tank), but was fine when I loosened it a bit. Do not overtighten like I did! Lol. Got smarter and used plumber's tape on all connections and only tightened with channellock one quarter turn. 2. The quality of the hardware and materials is superior. I don't understand the reviewers who said the washer was too small. It needs to be installed the long way. Of course if you align it on the long end with the hole it's not going to work. The picture in the instructions clearly show the proper way to install it. Don't worry about those reviews. It's simply improper installation. Actually, 99% of the bad reviews are due to improper installation. 3. The lever looks great and fit into my tight alcove no problem. Using the lever is a breeze and I love that you can adjust the position of the jet. 4. The water pressure is great and strong on full blast. I love that different size jets were included but they weren't needed in my case. 5. The seat does move a bit from side to side (my older seat also did that though not as much) and has a tendency to slightly skew to one side after using the lever which is a bit annoying. It's probably an intentional design to allow some give for the quick detach feature but it is annoying and one reviewer mentioned putting a piece of plastic to hold it in place which I might try. 6. Finally, I love the white hose. Nice touch, way nicer than my other hose connection and it really helps to hide it visually. Overall, a great bidet. Time will tell if it lasts. But I trust Kohler way more than anything else out there at this price range.

So far so good
The KOHLER 5724-96 PureWash M250 has some good design features a couple that are highly questionable. The total install took about 30 minutes. I like the way the seat attaches to the toilet and how the seat can be easily removed for cleaning with a push of the button on the side opposite the water inlet. As others have reported there are just not enough threads in the included hose coupling nut to properly engage with the Bidet's water inlet port with the added thickness of the screen installed. So I chose to remove the inlet screen in order to get an additional 1-1/2 threads of engagement. If that causes problems in the future I will deal with it. I also like that the controls are easier to reach than some other designs. This control design, however; does present a huge potential of damage in the future and this is probably the reason others have reported leaks at the control handle. With the handle hanging out so far I can see how easily it will be to damage it and cause leaks if anyones puts any sort of downward, upward or sideways pressure on the control handle. It should only have rotational pressure applied to it. It should never be used as a hand hold or as an aid for getting off the toilet. It's just not robust enough for that and that amount of pressure and will surely crack the plastic where the handle rotates, potentially causing leaks. All in all I am very happy with this Bidet and am confident with the proper usage it will stand the test of time.

Once you have tried a bidet you cannot go back!
This is a pretty addition to any toilet but its functionality is marginal. It was easy to instal but using it is not as easy. The nozzle adjusting handle requires a large movement to get any nozzle movement. For a tall torso person like myself, it is quite a reach downward to operate the handle. The three nozzle tips offer a very small range of options as to the stream of water. One is almost zero and one is a scalpel. The middle is ok but not quite strong enough. The slow closing lid is nice and overall it works and i s of high quality.

Nice bidet
Good bidet add on. Cleans well. Pressure is good. Soft lid closing. Install took about 20 mins. The bidet function is pretty silent as well

Guaranteed to fail
**Second Update** OK, this Kohler bidet is garbage. First unit leaked and second unit sometimes leaks but recently the plastic that latches it into place broke. Engineered to fail. *UPDATE* In less than one month of using the bidet is leaking. As soon as you rotate the control arm water begins to leak out. I'm going to exchange it for another since I like everything about it, but it looks like this device wasn't engineered well since others are reporting the same thing in other reviews. ------------------------ So, 2 years ago I dipped my toes into the world of bidets purchasing an Alpha Bidet (version 1). It worked quite well for 2 years, but 3 things made me stop using it. 1. The gray rubber "feet" that you see on the Hibbetts model and Alpha model don't hold up. After awhile they start to tear and I ended up taking the feet from the lid and replacing the ones on the seat that tore (they bear the most weight). 2. The color is a bluish/purplish white that didn't quite match our Kohler toilet. 3. The way that it attaches to the toilet started to fail. The spring loaded quick release didn't click into place unless I pulled on it. So after getting rid of this I tried out the Brondell thin attachment. This installed easily and seemed well constructed. I was a bit wary of the thin plastic that the control attached to but underneath it has 2 pieces of metal for reinforcement. The issue with this one is it just doesn't hit the spot. On an elongated toilet I had to really sit back and lean forward which was uncomfortable. I'm not returning it because it was in our toilet and only $20, perhaps it'll see use another day. So, now to this bidet. First off, the color matches our toilet which is great. The rubber feet on the seat and lid seem much more durable than the gray feet on the Alpha bidet. Installation was a lot easier than the Alpha bidet as well, with the hardest part making the connections tight. The Alpha bidet had metal connections whereas this one is plastic. That's a bit of a shame. The seat itself seems much more durable than the Alpha bidet, but there is some squeaking of plastic under my keester. This one aims better than the Brondell attachment, but still doesn't match the sniper like accuracy of the Alpha bidet. However, using the control wand I'm able to strafe the "brown town" like a German Stuka in WW2. So far so good with this bidet, but if it fails miserable or starts leaking I'll be back to change my review.

Versatile and easy positioning
Weโre still in week one with this bidet but we totally love it. Feels like a big upgrade from our previous Tushy model. The adjustable, in both its strength and positioning, spray nozzle is delightful. I also like the curvature of the seat. I totally recommend this!

Like having a child seat put on. ๐
Just bought two new kohler enlongated toliets and bought these bidet seats to go with them. To my surprise when the plumber left I discovered seats do not fit the toilets correctly. The widest part of the toilet opening is 11 inches when measured inside to inside. The widest part of the bidet seat is 8 inches when measured the same way. It is like putting a child seat on it. Also, the bidet seat is about an eight to a quarter of an inch to narrow to fit the toilet opening correctly. Called Kohler customer service and they informed me that all their bidet seats are that size. I am more disappointed and frustrated than I can even put into words. I must now go out and buy new seats. Donโt know if I can even return these since the plumber took all the packaging with him. Will be taking my tape measure to get new seats.๐ณ Went shopping and could NOT find a bigger seat. Wish I had my old ones back. The bidet does work well so far the only negative about it is it only has one sprayer so you cannot choose between a feminine or butt wash. Hope we donโt develop the leaks so many have talked about. We saved our old bidets that attach to a regular seat, so if these go bad Iโll buy plain new seats and use my old Luxe elite with two sprayers, one for your butt and the other for feminine hygiene.

Consider adding a bidet filter
I'm now on my second M250. The first I purchase 5 years ago and it worked like a charm. Easy to install and easy to use. But I do have a lot of minerals in my water and the wand clogged. I removed the end, soaked in vinegar and it was ready to go, but the extension was just not extending on its own. I asked Kohler how to clean inside the wand apparatus but they weren't too helpful. I finally ordered my second one ($20/year for bidet is a bargain!) and dissected the old unit. Actually I could never totally dissect as the screws were so rusty and not at all interested about being removed. I shrugged, I tossed the old one in the trash and this time around I'm going to add some filters to soften the water in hopes I can prevent the calcium from building up. Either way... still a great bidet --- my water -- not so much.

Great product
Great product and high quality. Only problem was that the t-adapter supplied in the box does not fit South African pipe fittings. I had to go to a plumbing supplies shop to buy an adapter before I could install it. Overall well worth the money.

Easy install - works well
I was looking add-on bidets but this one being integrated into the seat design made a lot more sense to me. I like that it comes with 3 different nozzles and the arm allows for adjustment of the spray angle while seated. The adapter is chrome plated metal not plastic. The soft close is nice too. I have this installed on a Toto elongated toilet. The fit isn't perfect but it is close enough and looks good in the closed position. The design is clean with nice styling.

Super small seat for kids
The seat is so tiny. Itโs sized for a little kid, really uncomfortable and now Iโm unsure what to do with this.
