This is my 2nd set of these measuring spoons. I love the shape of the spoon. It's long and narrow and fits inside my spice jars. My other set does not. That's why I now have 2 of these. And they are super durable. I've had them for years and they still look new.

This is my third set of these. They are the best measuring spoons. The clean well. Fit in jars. We love them.

I've gone through a lot of plastic sets and finally got sick of them breaking. This is a high quality set and worth the money. It is all one piece of metal, so the handle isn't going to break off due to a weak weld. They have a nice weight to them and are easy to clean. Best of all it has the less common 1/8 and 3/4 tsp that so many sets these days seem to be missing. And as an added bonus they fit in spice jars. After reading an old review that the measurements were off, I just compared these to 2 different sets of measuring spoons and they all measured the same amount - so unless all 3 sets are off by the same amount, I think it is safe to say that the problem was fixed in newer versions.

Sturdy, pleasing to the eye, nest well to occupy little drawer space. Markings are acceptably readable; they don't really stand out as well as I'd prefer, but I can see the sizes without my reading glasses, and more easily than with other sets I have used. They do fit into spice jars, even the tablespoon size. An unexpected benefit results from the more vertical sides of the spoon (due to the narrow design), as compared to the rounded cup shape of most spoons. If you don't need a precise level with a flat blade, simply tapping the spoon against the side of the container will approximate a level top with greater ease than with other measuring spoons. With rounded spoons it is difficult to level by tapping, since the contents of the spoon will more easily slide up and over the rounded side. In general, measuring is easier and faster with this set.

I received these originally as a Christmas gift, but I love these measuring spoons so much I bought a second set. And am considering purchasing a third set! I am CONSTANTLY using them and then they are in the dishwasher dirty and I need a clean one! These are very well made, heavy, quality, well-finished spoons. They feel good in my hands. They DO work well in spice jars, and are easy to level off for baking. As for calibration... I'm not a laboratory equipped to do that, but if these spoons are off, then so are most other measuring spoons out there! I have a set of MIU spice measuring spoons and they appear to measure the same as these spoons do. Likewise for my KitchenAid spoons and a really old tablespoon from my mom and a set of cheapo plastic spoons. So I personally would not worry overmuch about accuracy. If anyone IS worried, a quality gram scale might be a better choice. Now, there is one slight disadvantage to these spoons... the rectangular shape, while absolutely fine for spices and dry measures, is a little tougher to get stickier substances out of. A tablespoon of coconut oil will slide on out of a regular bowl spoon easier than it will come out of one of these rectangular shaped bowls. So this is something to consider depending on your measuring needs. Want a tablespoon of peanut butter? Fine... but it's gonna be harder to lick the spoon clean! For that reason, I recently bought a set of MIU spice measuring spoons with rounded oval bowls. They are also nice quality, but I don't feel they are quite as well finished as this set by RSVP. They are, however, more easily lickable. Still, I find myself reaching for the RSVP spoons more often than not. Update 5.17.2010 I DID buy myself a third set, and frankly, am now considering a fourth set! I'd like the fourth set to be devoted to measuring out liquid nutrients for my Aerogardens. The printing of the volume in milileters on each teaspoon is very useful for that purpose. It's sad... I have a whole bin in my utensil drawer devoted to these specific spoons. Other measuring spoons go in a separate bin, as I use these the most still! I never seem to have enough measuring spoons!

Just Came Back To Say: I've been using these spoons for some time now and love them. Comments below about not fitting some jars are true but still...these are a must have in the kitchen as far as I'm concerned. Superior handling for liquid measurements like vanilla and sesame oil. I took mine off the ring and have them standing up in a small juice glass on my counter top so I can just reach over and grab the one I want. Have 2 sets of spoons now so I don't have to rinse off between ingredients. Just use and toss in the sink. Now to the original comment. This is a very convenient set of measuring spoons. I only took one star off because they're made in China, a country known for it's metal impurities which I'm not too concerned about because of how measuring spoons are used. We don't cook in them or store food in them. The only spoon that doesn't fit into all spice and herb jars is the tablespoon. It does fit some containers like the standard plastic "McCormick" jar but not the glass "McCormick" jars. It also doesn't fit into my "Simply Organic" glass jars. The spoons are very hefty so they won't bend. The metal is polished with no rough edges. I love the range of measurements from tablespoon to 1/8 tsp. I expect to get a lot of use out of this set.

I’ve had a trusty set of measuring spoons for years, but I hated that they didn’t fit inside my spice bottles; I always had to unscrew the lids, or worse, dump and pour which usually led to a mess. These fit inside all my spice bottles and makes measuring a breeze. They are made of very thick, sturdy metal. My only complaint, which is such a minor thing, was the ring that holds them together kept opening up and the spoons fell to the floor more than once. I had a spare metal ring hanging around so I just put them on it and the problem was solved. No biggie. Love these.

This set is constructed from a single piece (no edges for things to get caught in) and the amounts are stamped into the metal (shouldn't wear off). This set was one that was highly rated to be near accurate in measurements (some sets were off be quite a lot). The tablespoon fits into all my spice jars (Morton & Bassett .28 oz. and McCormick .50 oz.). Some people wanted them to include a half tablespoon in the set but why....1 1/2 teaspoons equals half a tablespoon. This set washed up nicely by hand and in the dishwasher.

As others before me I can confirm that these appear to be of very good quality and are as acurate as any other spice measuring spoons I have ever used. The rectangular form is great for scooping out of spice jars. The tradeoff (there is always one!) is that it is a little harder to get stuff off them than off the usual round ones. For dry ingredients it's not a problem, but for honey, molasses and such I'll probalby keep a set of round ones aorund.

I bought these for my daughters Birthday. They were exactly what she wanted and needed. She was very happy! I would definitely recommend them for someone who wants a good quality Set of measuring spoons. They will last a lifetime !
