Actually Surprised How well this works!
We’ve bought countless (6 to be exact SHARK Vacuums..). And each and every one has either stopped working or somehow a plastic piece broke off and the list goes on ! The last one I bought I bought from Amazon and I bought a three year warranty, which I have been trying to get help on for a year and a half. I’m very upset over it because I paid for it and they want me to go to the manufacturer who they say is responsible for it and shark is saying AMAZON is responsible for it so I gave up and are VERY UPSET Amazon didn’t honor my extended warranty and the vacuum making awful clicking noises when vacuuming became a problem So I thought the Reviews are amazing for this Bissel Vacuum and hey let’s try something new A portion of it goes towards animals, which I think is awesome because we have two rescues and our fur babies are very important to us, but the other problem is one of them sheds badly so we need a decent vacuum The price point is wonderful. It does what it says. I wish it did have a light on it but at a time I just wanted a vacuum to vacuum the suction is phenomenal and it is very easy to empty the container. My husband even loves it so we may be new fans of this product. The only thing like I said, I wish it had a light and I’m kind of surprised you have to manually bend down and switch the depth so that’s kind of a pain too but when you’re looking at the money invested in it, it’s not a 500 $600 vacuum, but I will say I am very impressed with it and this is an honest review. I am not getting paid for this or in a promotion for anything and we have had it for several months now one of the best features to the retractable cord boy I just love that.

Excelente compra

A real review
I am one who invested in a much heavier and "made to last" vacuum in the past. I've dealt with $500 Riccar for the past 5 years and the ever so classic Kirby vacuum. They are best for fixing as you go but I just did not want to take my vacuum to a shop to get fixed again as I had family coming in and knew I needed a vacuum asap. I researched a TON of vacuums from $100-$300 price range and they all had their own flaws. Not wanting to invest too much I looked at vacuums between $100-$200. The lower cost shark had reviews claiming the hose breaks easily, and the other low cost vacuums had similar issues like that rendering it useless. The biggest issue with this one in the reviews was dog hair getting caught under the belt... so I got this one and just frequently check the belt. The suction is AMAZING and compared to my Riccar it happens to clean up more dog hair. (The photos show only 5 days between vaccuming in my home) My Riccar has a self adjustable leveling system while this one is manual with 6 different choices. From the photos you can see in my main living area I have a very short area rug but in the bedrooms I have very tall thick carpet. I think this helped get the dust and hair better! This thing can suck and clean VERY well! The only thing I hate.... it's not self propelled. This really stinks as I have RA and it can be a little hard on my joints (I'm only 25 and it's still tough) but for the cost, I can just tough that part out. All together for its cost this is a VERY good vacuum. Just be sure to take care of it. Empty after each use and keep the cord away from it when on. Check the belt and change the filters every other month. When taken care of, I'm sure this will last a couple years minimal.

Surprising amount of power and suction!
I had read the many reviews almost all good but a few not so great. We needed a vacuum for the lake asap so I took a chance. Wow, the amount of sand it pulled out of the carpet was shocking. This after the carpets were steam cleaned and vacuumed with our old machine. A family member commented that the room even smelled cleaner. The stair attachment worked well with no reduction in suction and spun well even on a thicker carpeted stair. It's a little bit heavier than our last vacuum but works so much better. I would have given it a 4.5 for maneuverability if possible, it's just a bit wider than some spots we need to reach so I find myself fussing around with getting it to those spots. For the price this vacuum is terrific!

Pulls up stuff left behind by Dyson!
I’ll try to keep this brief. Got the Dyson ball vac. It’s Dyson, right? What could be better? Well, this Bissell is better! The Dyson is IMPOSSIBLE to pull across carpet, even low pile carpet. So… I dragged the Dyson over my shag area rug section by section and got a workout I really didn’t need or want. It was frustrating and exhausting. There is no way I want to struggle like that every time I do housework. Just ran the Bissell over the same shag rug (and my cat has been staying at my daughter’s so there should be very little to pull up after the Dyson episode) and LOOK! I was momentarily worried it was going to be a problem to push as well, but it turns out it was just a learning curve and not the vacuum trying to permanently affix itself to the rug via overly intense suction. Super easy and effective on low pile carpet and bare floors. Super long cord is really nice to have and the auto rewind is a fantastic bonus. Very happy and highly recommend!
