Daler Rowney System3 Acrylic Paint, Plastic Tubes, 2oz - 59 ml, Cardboard Box, Process Set, 6 Assorted Colours

Just started exploring acrylic painting and this set turned out to be a really nice introduction. The paints have a smooth, slightly thin consistency that makes them easy to work with, and they mix with water nicely without losing their colour too much. The selection of colours is well thought out, covering everything needed to begin experimenting and learning basic colour mixing. The pigments look quite vibrant on canvas, which was a pleasant surprise for a starter set. Overall it feels like a solid choice for anyone new to acrylic painting who wants a good range of colours to begin practising with. Definitely a set I’d suggest to other beginners.

For those new to acrylic paint, the Daler Rowney System 3 provides a good alternative to the more expensive brands. I am a professional artist and an art teacher. I use Golden acrylics because of their high quality pigments and pigment to binder ratio. They're excellent, but expensive. System 3 are the best quality, lower priced acrylics, and whilst they're not perfect, they are a very good 'first' for experimenting with this medium. The set is a good basis for colour mixing, and if a couple of extra blues are added (I would add cerulean, cobalt and Prussian) they provide all that you need to get started with this medium. I purchased this for our daughter who wants to start painting with acrylics and this was the best value. Very fast delivery too.

Meine Welt ist eigentlich die Aquarellfarbe. Aber ab und zu reizt mich auch ein Motiv, dass ich plakativ und farbstark umsetzen möchte. Mit diesem Set kann ich das tun, ohne mir eine größere Menge an Acrylfarben zulegen zu müssen. Die Qualität der Farben ist hoch, gut pigmentiert und sehr angenehm zu verarbeiten. Die Trocknung ist nicht zu schnell, so dass man sogar noch auf dem Blatt nachmischen kann. Und sie riechen auch nicht unangenehm. Und wenn mal eine der Farben aus ist, kann man System3 Farben auch einzeln nachkaufen.
