Super rich, made my buttercream taste like salted caramel, and my cake taste like Oreos. Wish I had bought more.Texture was great, didn't even need to sift it. There was enough in this 8oz bag to make a three layer cake, and about 2 pounds of black buttercream. Compared with other brands at a higher price I think that's probably pretty good value.Definitely works well to make your baked goods and frostings black without the use of any food coloring. Buttercream will look dark brown at first, but darkens up nicely within hours.

I used the black cocoa powder to made black lab dog sugar cookies. The came out adorable and was able to omit frosting that would have been heavily dyed with black food color. They also tasted wonderful with a deep chocolate flavor.

Purchased to create black frosting and the flavor was so delicious that I ended up using it for the cupcakes as well. I did add just a few drops of black food coloring to the frosting to get it as dark as possible, but I was able to minimize it enough that no one had black teeth or stained hands. Bonus: This is exactly half the price of regular cocoa powder at the grocery store.

So tasty y’all! It tastes a bit like Oreos in frosting. The next day, after the frosting had sit a little bit, it was nearly completely black. So we had a space cake without having black teeth. Brilliant plan, I’ll be doing it again.

I am very satisfied with this product. I made some brownies with it and they were very good with a deep chocolate flavor.

Added this to my frosting and it tastes just like Oreos. Took one star off for the price point

Delicious, dark rich chocolate flavor. The color is also beautiful. I used it to make an “Oreo” cream puff and i couldn’t have asked for a better color

If you bake and do chocolate cakes or cookies add some of this and espresso and you will have them begging for your recipe.
