This toy would have been brilliant if it had worked whe I received it !! I bought it thinking that the batteries were actually going to work 🤔

I have 4 children aged between 1-8 and they all love it. It is very strong and withstands daily drops from my kids (The older 3 are all rough handed boys). All of them especially like that it talks and it’s encouraged my 1 year old to practice the phrases and has really helped her speech. During our regular reads of the gruffalo book, our gruffalo figure has to join in too. For the price it’s absolutely worth the happiness it’s brought my children and how well it’s lasted.

First one didn’t work even with new batteries, replacement needed new batteries to talk at all!

Disappointed says comes with batteries but doesn’t work so going to have to buy batteries

My 1 year old is over the moon with it, as he loves the gruffalo but the batteries it comes with doesn't work. I didn't read the description either to see that they are also button batteries, so I won't be replacing but overall, he doesn't really care. He loves that the arms an head move!

My little grandson laughed with delight when he heard Gruffalo talk in his rich baritone. It has about 5 phrases and is a robust toy, just the right size for a small hand.

Item didn’t work after removing the tab. Had to take the batteries out and clean them to get it to work. Then the Gruffalo’s voice is a bit distorted and sounds like John Wayne.

My god daughter loved it, great little toy if the child is a fan, will Be buying the other toys from the set.

... falls jemand, wie ich auch, sich nicht sicher ist, ob Englisch oder Deutsch. Er ist auch ziemlich laut für so einen kleinen Burschen. Mein Sohn, gerade 4 geworden, findet ihn allerdings bombastisch! Er stört sich auch nicht am Englisch. Und spielen kann man so oder so mit der Figur, da der Kopf und die Extremitäten bewegbar sind.

My grandson loves this talking Grufflo. It talks and the voice sounds just like the video Gruffalo. Buy this because it's a perfect little toy for a child who loves the video.

We have used him while reading the story and on his own. He has been great. I don’t know if it is because he is well loved but the batteries didn’t last long. Otherwise he’s fantastic.

Here’s the thing, I love the Gruffalo book but taken out of context, this toy’s voice is a bit creepy! Lol! Included battery also did not work. That being said, with a new battery, this is a solid toy with accurate features. The kids get a kick out pushing his button!
