Is this a single speaker or pair?

The price of about $1K is for one single speaker. I bought two speakers, and the cost $2K plus Pennsy tax.

Recommended rms? would 20 - 25 rms be enough to make these sing?

Thanks for your question. Recommended Amplification: 20 Watts to 200 Watts. A 25 watt RMS amplifier will drive them well but not likely at higher volumes which would risk overdriving the amplifier into clipping. World Wide Stereo is 43 years old and a proud authorized KLH dealer.
