They are really nice to talk while having on unlike closed-backs. This means you can use this for calls especially if you get the version with the microphone. You don’t get that annoying feedback feeling closed-back headphones give you. However, this isn’t the only thing that’s great about them. They’re super easy to drive at just 32 ohms and 102 dB sensitivity, so they’ll have no problem playing straight out of an adapter for your phone or just your laptop. While they’re not super portable, it doesn’t matter since these aren’t meant for commuting as leaking noise in and out is part of how it sounds. They don’t fold at all and have no case but they do come with a cloth sleeve to protect them from dust as they ship. I feel that they sound alright right out the box but have a bit too much mid-high bass and not enough sub-bass due to their openness, but some EQ fixed it. They didn’t get distorted or messed up sounding from being EQed. The ear cups swivel and fit really well because they’re huge, probably because their drivers are 50mm as opposed to the average 40mm drivers you get in smaller over-ears. They have a metal band you can adjust and have markings to let you dial it in and get it the same way every time. The headband has some decent padding as well, and my ears don’t get gross and sweaty due to being open. I’ve never seen the material used for the ear pads before before but it feels alright. These headphones have another great feature which is a single, standard, detachable cable. It’s just a regular 3.5mm port so you don’t need to go to Philips to get a replacement cable and you can just use any you want. Another nice touch is that the 3.5mm port is on the left side which is the same as most laptop headphone jacks, so they align which makes the cable easier to manage. I got the model with the microphone. The rest is exactly the same but the microphone has some volume controls for the headphones and a mute switch for the microphone. The microphone pops a little bit but sounds FAR better than those stupid Bluetooth microphones. Buying the microphone still means you get the regular auxiliary cable in addition to the microphone cable. It’s really long and has a rubber coating and comes with the 6.3mm adapter which is another nice touch though I won’t be using it. The microphone cable is much shorter and is braided instead of rubberized. Overall, it’s a great deal since it’s cheaper than it used to be since it’s been out for a few years and comes with some pretty interesting features that are really nice to have.

4 years now, still working flawless even after a couple of drops (thats on me). Great soundstage and clarity. Not a huge bass guy, and these provide a perfect balanced profile that i like. Great for gaming too, you get clear, open and directional sounds. Mic is kinda the only weakpoint, wont give you studio quality out of it, but so cant 99.9% of headsets. Get a dedicated concenser mic and you'll be good to go.

This was my first experience purchasing open-back headphones, and I stumbled upon these. I'm not an audiophile, but I think the sound is very good, and they are certainly more open than most gaming headsets, I am writing this review 10 months later and still use them as my main headphones. But you should note that the "open back" does not stay truly open, Phillips introduced a swivel on each individual cup so that they will conform to your head with about 45 degrees of rotation ccw and maybe 15ish degrees cw (as viewed top-down) on each cup. They are more "loose" than "open" in my opinion. The resting position of the cups is comfortable, my only complaint is there isn't an actual air gap like I was expecting that would allow for full situational awareness. These, you can kinda get them to sit on the edges of the cups for a little while before they fall back into place flat against your head (in which case, they still don't muffle outside sounds as much as most other headphones) I can hear what's around me with more clarity than other headphones, but not quite as clearly as I wished. They do at least eliminate that feeling of hearing your own muffled voice without being aware of how loud you actually are speaking! The aux cord with attached microphone kinda sucks. The mic sound quality is pretty decent, BUT... As you move even a little, the cord will rotate in the 3.5mm port and introduces a static noise that listeners are annoyed by. It rotates very very easily, and as the cord rests in front of the user's shoulder, it's not able to be avoided. I actually just use a desk mic and a plain aux cord instead anyway, so this does not actually take away from my experience.

By far the best headphones I have ever owned. They feel super light, audio is amazing, and mic quality is amazing. They look great too, it's worth the price. They offer a range of comfort for different sized users, and it's durable. My only WARNING would be that if you own a computer that requires two separate jacks for audio, and mic. BUY a Y-splitter online (they're harder to find in person), it's a ten-dollar fix, UGREEN sells some great ones here on amazon and it's what I used for my gaming PC.

The volume is actually better with the headphones off with how much noise bleeds out and the quality cannot be heard unless you crank it to max. The noise cancellation is a joke and I can easily hear every keystroke cleanly as I am typing this up and can hear a fan across the house no issue. The bass is alright once you put your volume on max, but it's near the volume of my old headphones when I put them to 30 vs these on 100. This doesn't even touch on my issue of it not coming with a splitter, so I cannot hook it up to my computer to use both the mic and headphones at the same time (my computer doesn't have a 2 in 1 jack) without needing to buy an additional product. It's not worth the price, but they're at least comfortable if there is any redeeming qualities to these.

I purchased these as a replacement to my Philips Fidelio X2HR headphones that I purchased back in 2017, which I used for gaming and listening to music. I loved my Fidelios, but the small screws that hold the earcup onto the frame broke, and there isn't anywhere to buy replacements, so I had no choice but to purchase replacement headphones. These came in much cheaper than a replacement set of X2HR headphones, but have similar features, such as the open back ear cups and removable/replaceable cable, which is important to me since I have a dog that likes to chew on cables. I'm so impressed with these so far. They are just as comfortable as my X2HRs, but are a little smaller and lighter, while still allowing my entire ear to fit into the ear cup. The sound quality is excellent - much better than then X2HR in my opinion. I felt that the X2HRs were a little more flat sounding with little bass. These still have a pretty flat profile, but sound bright and have a bit more punch to the bass. These look pretty good. They still have a plasticky feel and construction, similar to the X2HRs, but those were an absolute tank and I have no doubt that these will be just as durable as those were. Philips headphones are built like a tank. One thing I liked better on the X2HRs was the clamping force. I have a pretty small head, and these headphones feel a little wide to me. I wish there was a way to adjust the width and make them just a tiny bit more narrow. The X2HRs were also pretty wide, but had huge ear cups and a tighter clamping force, so they were still able to fit me well. That being said, if I shake my head while wearing these, they still stay in place, so it's not a big deal - just a minor complaint. Overall, I'd definitely recommend these and would purchase again.

The headphones are great quality. The audio is wonderful and the frame is sturdy. However, the microphone is a different story. First and foremost, it's 3.5mm for the speakers and mic, however there is no splitter included, so unless you have a splitter, you have to choose between hearing, and using the microphone. Then there's the problem of the mute switch on the mic. it's so poorly made that it will fall out for no reason. Mine fell out several times when I wasn't even using the headphones at all. This is unacceptable for me, as I frequently use these for gaming and need to mute/unmuet frequently. The other issue is Phillip's customer service. I tried to contact them to have that one, very small, very cheap piece of plastic replaced, and cannot get ahold of them. I submitted a ticket, to which they simply sent me an email asking for all of the information that was already included on the ticket. I tried calling, and after being on hold (with no audio to confirm I was in line or still connected) the call drops entirely. It could be a trivial issue if they had any customer support staff at all, but as it stands I'd rather return the entire product then continue trying to deal with this company.

Audio de 10 lo uso con una sound blaster g6 y chulada de audio la verdad para warzone es una chetada se oyen los pasos super bien recomiendo ponerlo en estéreo nada de esas cosas del 7.1 no sirven toda mi vida había usado headset gamer pero nada k ver los astro a50 solo me duraron 2 años y se oyen horrible la verdad solo por se wireles pero con todo lo k gaste mil veces estos philips, pase por los asus rog Delta se escuchaban bien pero Bo convencen la verdad tienen k probarlos para gaming super cómodos y ligeros, hasta el microfono se oye super mejor solo si hay k configurar mucho el audio de fondo por k por ser audifonos abiertos de oye el audio de fondo

First up the positives; these headphones sound great, they don't have muddy bass nor peaking highs, they're also comfortable and fit my very large ears and large head. Now the negatives, the headband, headband pad attachments and the adjustment attachments are all made of extremely cheap and extremely weak plastic, I've had this pair for a touch over a year and its broken all three of those individual aspects at least twice each and is now held together with duct tape. Buy something else for less that lasts 5x as long.

Very comfortable headphone, very clear mic and a bang for the buck, my only complain is the mic cable isnt tight it moves a bit. and the volume control is very sensitive, the volume changes the moment the volume wheel makes contact with my shirt when i move my head left or right.

Compré estos audífonos después de una búsqueda extensa de comparativas entre ellos y su antecesor, SHP9500. Finalmente decidí probar el SHP9600 y el veredicto es... NO me gustó. Como dicen muchas reseñas, las graves son retumbantes y opacan las medias, al tiempo que las agudas son extremadamente sibilantes. La ecualización ayuda a domar el extremo superior de las frecuencias, pero no da un buen resultado con el resto del espectro. Las medias en particular siempre quedan amortiguadas. En cambio, cuando finalmente compré el modelo SHP9500, me quedé maravillado. En su configuración default, sí le faltan las graves, pero al ecualizarlas, salen a relucir, y las medias son hermosas. Para mitigar la sibilancia, se puede usar el ecualizador con buen efecto, pero mi opción preferida es insertar una capa de papel de filtro de café recortado para caber dentro de los auriculares, y esto suaviza las agudas exactamente al grado necesario. Para mi oído, SHP9500 es la opción superior, sin duda.
