I am SO PLEASED with this product I HAD to write a review! A little background info., I have a 14-year-old dachshund who doesn’t realize how long she is. Nowadays, it takes some effort for her to get down the stairs to the backyard to go to the bathroom. Most of the time she just can’t be bothered to walk and extra foot to actually make it into the grass and instead relieves herself on the concrete patio every day over and over again several times a day in roughly the same spot. She is old and I am just happy she makes it outside. At the end of last summer I was noticing a urine smell whenever we would enjoy time in the backyard. I had seen a couple of stray cats around and some of them I thought could’ve been peeing on our outdoor furniture cushions and perhaps, that was the source of the smell. So, my husband and I took all of our cushions to the laundromat where we stain treated them, soaked them and washed them. Unfortunately, the very next time we sat out on our patio with all of our clean cushions the urine smell was still overwhelming! The hotter the sun got the worse the smell was and the nice breeze we were trying to enjoy was simply blowing the smell our way. That’s when I realize the smell had to be coming from the repeated urine markings from our little dog on our concrete patio. I guess I have never really thought about it before. Thinking that the rainwater and spray from the hose would sort of wash away the urine. The fact that it was permeating the concrete just really never occurred to me. I began to be embarrassed to have people over in the backyard knowing they were smelling urine. I started right away to research remedies to get rid of this problem bleach, vinegar, soap, pressure washing, etc. That’s what I stumbled upon Simple Green! It was a reasonable price and you got the spray/hose bottle plus a nice size refill. It is safe for grass, pets and children so, I thought I would give it a try. It arrived in a few days and I followed the directions. I waited until late in the evening when the sun had gone down to apply the product as instructed. When you apply it, it smells great, fresh like a dryer sheet. It does dry quickly so keeping the ground damp so the enzymes have more time to attack the bacteria is key! With the hose attachment bottle I did my entire patio plus a long 2 foot strip of grass around my patio as it said it was safe for the grass as well. The substance was milky and a little bubbly. You could easily tell where it had been applied. The next day, I waited for the hottest part of the day and went outside on my patio and sat exactly where I had sat before when I would smell the horrible odor. Only this day... I smelled NOTHING !!!! I was so happy and impressed with this product! I even invited over a family member who was trying to help me come up with a remedy to my problem. I asked her to come over and sit in my backyard and smell with me. We sat there for an hour and never once got a wiff of the nasty urine smell. She too smelled nothing !!! Now, I’m sure my little dog will continue to use the restroom on my sidewalk but if all I have to do is apply this product once every few weeks or once a month during the hot summer to help alleviate this problem -that’s fine by me. It has only been one day since I have applied the product so if the smell returns quickly or if something changes I will come back and update this review. I don’t normally write reviews on products unless they are really bad or really good. I was SO AMAZED by this product I had to share the results!

This product is very efficient at removing pet odor. It has a safety mechanism allowing for the product to be spread by simply squeezing the bottle. It goes through the product very quickly so if you have a large yard or turf area I would recommend buying a few. It does not leak at all and the smell is gone for at least a few weeks even in the summer time when the oils from pets get to penetrated into the surface of the turf. It is worth every penny especially to have a clean yard. It absorbs moisture and smell very efficiently and lasts plenty of time!

My yard backs up to a conservation park. (Yea lucky me, but,,,) I have two little dogs who I take out and have to stay with because of the wild life,. One day I noticed a horrible stinch and I couldn’t find it. I walked the yard a noticed it was everywhere!! Is this why the dogs won’t come out? Sure enough coyotes in the yard at night. Someone recommended this to me., so I bought it. I bought the big bottle and the sprayer it arrived right away and I was happy. I gave it a four star because that nozzle is very difficult to use. I think most of my solution sprayed all over my hand I just didn’t like it. They need to do something about that and I was able to spray about 50% of my Astroturf with what was in the bottle which was like your normal size spray bottle maybe a little bigger, but I have a large yard, so I had to add some more solution. Right away I noticed the smell was gone, and the smell of the solution was amazing. I can’t explain it, but it was nice now I thought oh my goodness I hope it stops the coyotes. Then my dogs will start peeing on the lawn, so I proceeded to spray the other part the other half of the yard and I continue going on around the perimeter and then I started doing my patio because I started noticing my markings on my patio carpet. This took care of my problem, but every two or three weeks I would spray and the dogs continue their business where they’re supposed to and I have not had the problem again so this does work and it’s safe for the dogs and my grandchildren I don’t worry about it Because if it’s safe for the dogs, it’s gotta be safe for them right ? I just wish they fixed the nozzle.

This product is very effective and it has a nice fresh smell. It is easy to use. Great value for the money.

I use this on the front and backyard while I don’t have grass I have turf and it works wonderful for keeping the odor of poo and urine eliminated

This stuff worked better than I thought. I’ve got fake grass for my dogs and after a few days it smells pretty bad, but this really gets the odor out. Under the grass is landscape tarp, so it hold the urine in well, but this eliminates the odor. I suggest using it when it’s cool or at night so it doesn’t evaporate easily.

It’s actually a very good product. However, the refill bottle has the worst pour on it. Even using a funnel you’re lucky if you could get half a bottle without the rest, spilling all over the place or going down the drain. They really need to do something about the poor on the refill bottle. It is terrible.

Excellent product. We have a dog run that is just hardpacked earth. It doesn't drain well because of a layer of clay beneath. We also have two large dogs. Needless to say, the urine smell becomes horrible. We've tried spraying it down, soaking it with water, scraping the dirt, but the smell persisted. On a whim I looked to see if there were any products that might work in this case. Most of the products I've seen were small area sprays meant for carpet, or larger area sprays meant for kennels. I ordered this product and it showed up the next morning. I promptly hooked it up to a hose and sprayed the run. The results were almost instantaneous. The smell was gone leaving just a slight smell of simple green. I checked the next day and it was still clear of urine smells. It's now been 5 days and the product is doing its job. I'm so sad I didn't find this product earlier. It would have saved us the awful urine smells over the past two summers. The product goes a long way too. I used about half the smaller bottle on a run the size of 80' x 5'.

I have used this many times on synthetic grass and stones. Have bought it for my real grass lawn but haven't tried it yet on those. But on the syn. grass and stones, it was great. Has a good smell

It is very easy to use , takes little time to apply , and is quite effective . A second application is even better .

Me gustó mucho el producto, enseguida quitó el mal olor del pasto sintético. Tengo una perrita de gran tamaño y ahi hace sus necesidades, empecé a lavar el pasto sintético con agua y jabón y el olor era muy desagradble, pero en cuanto me llegó el producto lo apliqué y desapareció el olor, por lo que creo que es necesario lavar el pasto sintético solo con el producto no con jabón porque nuevamente se producirá el olor desagradable.
