Amazing phone, just what I needed for my daily use as primary phone. This dumb phone is not so dumb after all.
Just briefly want to mention first before entering into the detailed review of this wonderful phone. I am an IT security personnel for an organization and take security and very in tune with the latest gadgets. My previous phone was Oneplus 3T. I was looking for a total cut down on Internet, distractions during my commutes and spending exclusive quality time with family and friends. I looked at Lightphone, Punkt and found that they are very expensive for testing or just trying it out. Hence I started looking for basic phones and after several days of research found the BLU series of phones - Tank, to be cheap, exactly what I wanted - No Internet, Basic Phone and extended battery life. So bought it and have been using it for over a week. My setup: Using ProjectFi and yes it works on this Phone. ProjectFi uses T-Mobile. Just a quick useful tip: If you plan to use this with services such as MintSim, ProjectFi etc, this phone will work because they use T-Mobiles 2G network. For more setup tips on this phone, please search for www. codepear . com / blu (no spaces) and you should see a detailed review as well as my use case - Using a Life-Smart Phone Aka the Dumb Phone as your Primary Communication. Here I discuss more on how you can still be connected to the most important things that matter via Text Messaging Service. Screen: The screen has the right settings for brightness. I have set it to a level which works for both day and night mode. Audio: It has Bluetooth for connecting to old and new cars. This works better than my smartphone with 4G. It has to do with 2G signal which is very good for audio. This also has hands free mode if you want to use it like a speakerphone. Media: You can take pictures, video at a very low quality but in order to even start with it, you will need an SD card. I recommend a 32 GB. Radio: Yes! it has it, that is a great feature for me. No headphones required but there is an audio jack for privacy. Many of the folks are using this phone as a backup but for me, this one is the primary phone for now or until I find something better. Regarding how it looks, feels and operates. It feels like an $80 phone.

Great little phone
Great little phone. Got this for teenage son for first phone. Does the job. Is unlocked, used with T-Mobile prepaid. No issues at set up. Does have dual SIM (at least the blue one did). Can use business number on one SIM and personal number on other SIM. Doesn't fit my needs but thought I'd mention it. Battery is nice and long. No decent instructions come with it so just takes time to figure everything out. Can lock the keypad by pressing the top left corner control button and the "*" key. However this doesn't prevent the phone from shutting off if the power button is held down. I don't like that fact but it's the only real complaint j have. The radio works well and my son has managed to get music on a mini SD card loaded into the phone so it acts as an MP3. Has a camera, but he and I do not believe you can send or receive photos (at least we haven't been able to). Durable little phone, my son is clumsy and drops things a lot so this one has held up for a month so far with no issue. No internet access on this phone (this was the whole reason we purchased it). Did not feel 13 yr old should have access to the entire world in the palm of hand. Lot of responsibility there and with this generations focus to validate self through social media, waned to keep his focus on his real life accomplishments and face to face interactions with friends. He will go through those motions on his own as all teens push for that freedoms and experience. Be for now, while he is still on the younger side of teenage years, this phone works wonderfully for us. P.S. My son has taken our encouragement to be fun with his "outdated" type phone in school and often makes remark as it is his Stone Age phone, enticing humor amongst his peers. He says he doesn't mind it being outdated and even likes that it's a little sturdier than his friends. (Of course he does dream for an iPhone but just thought I'd mention it in case any other parents out there were in the same place I was and worried your child might hate you for an outdated phone. They won't, they know you love them and are thinking in their best interest. It shows.) Hope this review details enough for any type I future buyer.

Nice Dumbphone with cool music features
This phone is really cool. The back cover was easy to take off. It charged in about 6 hours. I put a MetroPcs sim in the bottom metal tray and somehow it managed to stick in there and is impossible to get out. Then I went to Tmobile and got the 25 dollar talk/text plan. I put that sim card in the top tray. Then when I went to make calls it would ask me if I wanted to call from Sim 1 or Sim 2. To avoid having to make the choice every time I was able to go into settings and deactivate Sim 1. I loaded some mp3 music on there and it sounds great on my afternoon run. It only took a 16 gig card. 32 gig wouldn't accept. Call quality through the headset is ok. My boss called me and it sounded like she fell down a well. It kinda diffused the "importance" of the call and made her sound kind of comical. The fm radio is killer and I have been listening to classical for a couple hours with no drop on the battery. There is a small learning curve on navigating the phones menus. I am happy with the phone and so far it is 17 bucks well spent. Nice dumbphone for those who are looking to take a break from a smartphone Pros Battery Life, mp3 player, FM radio, car game, ok camera, nice screen, snazzy look(retro), cheap, headphone jack works great Cons working through the menus can be tedious but once you get the hang of it its easy, dubious call quality

Opening the box, I found a perfect telephone for my problematic partial blindness and elderly fumble-fingers. Large keys and bright, easy-to-read keypad - even a radio! BUT, there was no getting the phone to either send or receive calls. Immediately after receiving the phone, I had a techy friend insert the SIM card, but there was no result. The useless trinket went back into its box --- until last Saturday, January 28, 2017, when I called Consumer Cellular, my service provider, to ask if they would try to make my new cell phone operational if I sent it to them. Instead, they referred me to their service technicians at Target, and made a 3PM appointment for me. For two solid, uninterrupted hours (3-5PM) two incredibly patient and conscientious technicians tried every fix they could come up with to get the phone working. Of course I had been paying monthly service fees long before the new, unusable phone ever came, and have continued to pay for unusable service ever since its arrival. Reluctantly, the two gentlemen pronounced the new-and-never-used BLU Tank II T 193 not usable and suggested I ask Amazon to replace it with a workable unit. On checking the Amazon returns information, I learn that opportunity to return the faulty phone expired in November, so I'm without a cell phone as I prepare for an out-of-town trip and need one badly, for emergency contacts. Amazon, and ole BLU, both of you done me wrong - and for no reason. Am I blue? You'd be, too. Ain't these tears in these (one of them blind) eyes tellin' you?

Great quality, definitely worth the price!
I bought this phone because I needed it to hold my other foreign SIM cards. Opened the boxed packaging from Amazon and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this phone! I was honestly expecting cheaper plastic and something more tacky-looking. But this phone actually looks decent - the white casing with blue accent looks cute - and this is coming from a usually hard-to-please designer! Look & feel: The textured casing makes the phone allows for a firm grip and the size is perfect for one-handed operations. The white & blue casing with a hint of silver as the directional keypad, and matte grey as the fonts looks pleasant. Keypad/buttons: Keypad/buttons are well designed with just the right size and good tactile feedback. The keypads are grooved too, so this makes it quite nice to press. The keys are very responsive as well - no "laggy" feeling between button presses as with some smartphones! Display: For something that's under $20, it works well enough. The important part is I could read everything clearly! Sound: Good enough to play the FM radio - there was a talk show on and I could hear every word, loud & clear, without the volume turned up even. I can't speak for the music quality though, I'm used to very high-end audio so my ears are forever spoiled. Camera: This phone is under $20. Let's not expect too much here. ;) Dual-sim: This works as advertised. Takes full size SIM. I have a micro SIM which I fit within the full size cutout of my full size SIM cardboard (you'll get the whole cardboard when you purchase a SIM pack from your mobile service provider). Bonuses: - The FM radio is a really nice touch. You could listen to the radio with this. - Phone also comes with a F1 racing game. - Torchlight is functional :) Overall: Definitely worth the price I paid for. I'm impressed that they managed to make a phone that looks decent, feels solid and allows dual-sim for a reasonable price. If you want a back up (dumb)phone, this is .

Phone OK but CRICKET Plan is terrible
Phone is very basic. You pay for what you get. The biggest concern is doing business with Cricket. The most terrible phone company I have ever encountered. They route their calls to the Philippines and their reps has a strong accent that I cannot understand their English. In addition, they have no idea on helping me with my questions and concerned since I had called them SEVERAL times about their plans and their bring your own device program. Cricket had no idea how to instruct me properly on how to make this phone work especially with 2 slim slots. Not knowing which slot to put in, not knowing which slot to activate...blah blah...excuses....headache only! I told them several times that we are going to Mexico, leaving the US to Mexico in a few weeks that is why I am using their service. When we got to Mexico the phone never worked on their plan BECAUSE later to find out that ALL the reps we talked to never programmed the phone to work in Mexico- all they did was activated BUT never program it to work in Mexico. SO we end up using colleagues' phones to make calls back to the US. We wanted a refund on our Cricket plan since we only bought it for this purpose, and we were told NO. We called the head quarters and they didn't care about it either.

Wow! Amazing value an a really great phone!!
I never knew that you could get such a high quality phone for next to nothing! This phone is compact, well built for the price, and works as well as any other feature phone I have had including ones that cost many times its price. Some general notes about the phone: PROS * Built quality is not on par with a high end Motorola but is very good overall * Call quality is great - as good as any phone I have used * Keypad is very well done and easy to use * Software is fast and responsive and includes a lot of extras not expected at this price * FM Radio works great and will play from the speaker for hand free use * Battery life seem to be massive * Uses standard micro-SD for charging CONS and Other Notes * Screen is plastic vs. glass * While called the Tank it is not water/dust/shock protected but I understood this when buying it * Dual SIM is something I won't use but many will If you need a backup phone or a basic feature phone and you don't want to spend much money this is an amazing choice!!

Great Alarm !
This BLU phone is replacing my Nokia 2680 that I use for an alarm clock and I found it by searching for the cheapest price. The phone has only three great annoying ring tones to wake up to with five programmable times each day good enough for shift work. The battery life seems to be okay until I left my house for weekend, one only knows how many times it rang before it Shut itself off.

nice low cost phone with an awesome long lasting battery. 30 days standby according to manufacture.
Nice little phone but I can't get it to turn on after charging for 24 hours. Instructions don't tell you how to turn it on!? If someone can help me please respond. i should not have to buy a SIM at this point as I should be able to access calendar, calculator, and a little more. I found out how to turn it on. Just press the phone symbol.

Waste of money
Waste of money. The bluetooth doesn't connect to my speaker, the interface is terrible, there is no way to adjust the headphone volume, or call volume, which is often unclear. The battery life is far worse than advised. Terrible phone, you're better off getting a second hand smartphone, or a nokia.
