The porcelain bowl is a beautiful, traditional design with gorgeous hand painted colors. It washes well and is a perfect size for that single bowl of soup. The trivet is also nice by giving you something to carry the bowl with instead of burning your hands, and the lid is a perfect accessory for keeping the contents of the bowl nice and toasty. But one thing I want to caution you with is to NOT microwave the lid or trivet. They have a sealer that makes them safe for use in the dishwasher that will bubble if you expose it to extreme heat like a microwave. I should have known better, but I wasn't thinking about that when I put my bowl in with the lid on. Use a separate microwave safe plate to cover the soup to prevent splashing in the microwave. Do NOT use the lid.

Absolutely adorable. It's a good size for a big bowl of ramen or soup. The tray and lid are solid and smooth- no splinters or rough edges. The paint itself is glazed and very bright and pretty- it's raised in some places as part of the aesthetic of the style, so I wouldn't recommend putting it in the dishwasher, but it looks easy to clean by hand. I got this as a gift for a friend who loves rabbits and I know he's going to LOVE it.

It's a bowl. It holds just the right amount of stuff (24 oz. - more than most dinner bowls). It's really easy to clean. It's super aesthetically pleasing if you're a fan of Asian culture. 10/10. I love it. The only two cons I've noticed: 1. The spoon isn't very useful - between the thickness and the shape, it doesn't hold much liquid and can't be used to scoop stuff off the bottom when the bowl is almost out of food/soup/whatever. 2. Don't stick the wooden base in the microwave. It's got this kind of varnish that will cook and bubble, and that's bad, mmkay? But I'm not bothered by those cons. It's nice that it's a set, but I didn't make this purchase for anything but the bowl, and the bowl is awesome. P.S. I have not dropped it, so I can't comment on its durability. That said, it feels like ceramic, and my experience with ceramic is that you really don't want to drop it.

Amazing ceramic bowl quality and beautiful design. Love the functionality of the steam cover, with chop stick holder and spoon holder, makes it very convenient when a guest sits down to eat. Very easy to clean, and love the depth for pasta or ramen dishes. I use these all the time

I just bought this as gift for my daughter. The quality of the bowl is really nice and the pattern is beautiful. Seems like a good size for her to have her beloved ramen in it! The concept of the trivet and lid makes it unique. I’m happy that the set includes chopsticks and a spoon of good quality. However, it arrived with some dings in the wood and the porcelain has an obvious black speck in it. Quite noticeable. I don’t have time to return it. Should have been in perfect condition for the price. I would have given 5 stars if it didn’t have those flaws.

we love these bowls. my wife and i cook asian food mostly and are always in need of soup spoons and chopsticks. These bowls not only came with both, but the lids and trivets are a game changer! Now i can serve dinner without worrying about it getting cold before i sit down!! Also the craftsmanship is just insane it looks hand painted and glazed and i wouldnt be surprised if it was

I purchased a pair of these bowls to use when we have takeout Chinese and Thai soups and curries. Our regular bowls have flat bottoms but these are rounded therefore better for pooling the broth. They are porcelain as opposed to ceramic. I find ceramic chips very easily. Porcelain is still more fragile than stoneware but is still a good option. Ceramic pottery has a glazed bottom while porcelain and stoneware doesn’t have glaze. The bowls are beautifully painted. I especially like that the yellow dots are raised from the pattern. The koi design was the only pattern that appealed to us. The spoons are the correct size for the bowl so when they are resting they will not slide into the broth. I would like the handle to be a little longer for holding but they are the same size as my other oriental spoons. The bamboo cover and trivet are a plus. They will be perfect to keep the soup warm and carrying to the table. The chopsticks are wooden, lightweight and attractive. They will be useful when retrieving items that might not position well on the spoon. The trivet serves as a good chopsticks resting place. The items arrived next day and were securely packaged. The spoons were wrapped in a thin cardboard and placed in the bowl for shipping. Keeping them in the bowl for storage is a good way to keep the sets together. The bottom of the bowls have a sticker titled Mira Designs by FMC. Fortunately they peal off easily leaving little residue. There is no stamp identifying the brand. If you are looking for something to highlight an Oriental meal I would recommend them.

I love this so much, I got my husband this around 2 1/2 years ago, and we love it so much I'm always "dibzing" it first 😋🤣🤣. I thinking it's perfect for ramen, soup, Karen beef, chicken and rice, ect. It's a great bowl for meals! Holds a lot actually.
