The heating tool feels surprisingly well made for the price. It isn’t overly heavy, sits comfortably in the hand and heats up quickly. The adjustable temperature range (210°F to 390°F) is useful, allowing you to choose an appropriate setting depending on the keratin you’re using and how quickly you want to work. The tips heat evenly, making it easy to melt the keratin without waiting. Before you know it, you’ve convinced yourself you’ll “just do a few strands”… and somehow an hour has disappeared! The plug connects securely with no issues. I found the device comfortable to hold and isn't to heavy. The size is convenient and not bulky. It heats up well and doesn't take too long to reach the set temperature. The instructions aren't the best and this was my first time using a device like this, so I had to look up online for better instructions, especially related to temperature settings. Once I familiarised myself with it I found it straight forward to use. It works well as advertised. Overall a decent kit.

Testing this out on a sample piece of training hair showed that the heating iron reaches its working temperature quite quickly. The adjustable temperature wheel is responsive, making it easy to dial back the heat so you do not singe finer hair strands. The applicator tip melts the glue cleanly without creating a messy, stringy buildup, provided you wipe it down after a few uses. Including the protective plastic shields in the box is a genuinely helpful addition, as they effectively protect the scalp and surrounding hair from accidental burns during application. On the downside, the tool feels a bit lightweight and plasticky in the hand. The power cable is also quite stiff and can sometimes twist awkwardly while you are trying to work around the back of the head. The included beads melt evenly and hold a strong grip once cooled, though removing them later requires a decent amount of pressure with pliers. It functions reliably enough for home beauty work, though the ergonomics could be improved for longer styling sessions.
