It does work for self inking stamps. I’m not sure about how to tell the type of ink.

No, this ink is meant for pre-ink/flash stamps The ExcelMark is a self-inking stamp which takes a water-based rubber stamp ink.

How much of the bottle do you need to refill a dry/exhausted stamp? How long does a full stamp last, meaning how many impressions?

Use about one or two drops minimum in each reservoir and let sit for few minutes so ink sinks in . More or Less 5,000 impressions .
