Big Journal B5 Red Extra Large Refillable PU Leather Journal, 10.6 X 8.3-Inch

This is an attractive journal. I bought it to use for general daily notes and story ideas (I write). It's a pretty deep-earthy red. I got Pilot red gel pen to match it and it fits perfectly within (clipped inside to the rings). For reference, it was this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015EXRZJG/The paper is an elegant buff color and thick--there is no bleed-through with me using a rolling gel pen. I wanted the bigger size (costs, oddly enough, the same as the smaller size), so I had extra writing space per page. I use it up and then some.The cover isn't gonna fool anyone into thinking it's real leather. There is no give. It's a stiff, cardboardy cover with the PU cover with the "hide" look to make it seem leathery. But upon touching, you can tell it's fake. For the price, who'd expect leather anyway, right?The inside part of the cover is soft, like the material inside eyeglass cases or some costume jewelry boxes. That's pleasant. There's a transparent plastic cover bound to the rings that displays the first page. For those who like a cover to a journal, this is a good place to place a page behind it with whatever would be your cover.Refills may not be super easy or inexpensive to find. The amazon link offered in the Q/A above is the same price almost as this journal just for paper refills. There's another that's 11 bucks (search Amazon for B5 paper refill nine holes if you ever need refills). B5 is the type you need to get with NINE holes for the larger size journal. Both the upper right and lower right corners were bent forward. I tried to push them down back to flatness without success. So, I have to live with the bent/wrinkled corners. I would have given five stars had it arrived in perfect condition.

My only criticism is that it arrived with bent corners. Aside from that, it is perfect in every way. I love the color and feel, the way it's designed ensures the pen I tuck into the rings doesn't follow out. I did swap the lined pages out for a craft paper refill, but frankly it's near impossible to find an unlined journal so I'm just please I COULD. When I wear this one out, I'll definitely be buying another.

Really like this. I made my own journal/planner. Only wihed it was bigger to hold more sheets of paper.

Beautiful and functional!!

It's cardboard, not leather. The covers are swayed. There is no give to it at all and it won't stay flat. It's horrible. There are plenty o other options that would be better.
