Queen of the Night Time World: Volume 3 (Cirque Macabre)

They’re calling for you. Holly! Holly! Holly! What could I say? I made evil look good. HOLLY RAINEY-ING BLADES OF FIRE!! WHAT A ROYALLY INTENSE & FIRENOMENAL ENDING TO THIS VAMPTACULAR SERIES!! Hopefully there's a "...for now" added to it, but regardless, Kristen gave Holly, Rainey & Blade the chance to shine, and shine they did! I Embrace the characters, this book and this series with all that I am! Although I was super tense waiting for it to all play out! Would it play out like I hoped? Would someone die that I loved? When would Kristen stop making me bawl my eyes out? Yes, I admit it! I am sooooo deeply ensconced, so in love & lust with this series, with the characters, that I cannot help but feel what they feel or for them when they can't express it! Or when I can't control myself! LOL This is truly an epic book & series beyond any of my wildfire dreams, thoughts, hopes and even fears! SO. MUCH. HAPPENS. I don't think I can even say anything more without a spoiler or 4, slipping out! YES! It is THAT ... AMAZING! AWESOME! HEARTBREAKING! LOVING! HOT! PASSIONATE! SAD! FUNNY! EXCITING! INTENSE! NERVE WRACKING! and FAN-FLAMING-TABULOUS!!!!! I am wholly, utterly, completely consumed in a blaze of fire – mind, body, heart, spirit, soul, past, present and future! “Never give them perfect. If you do, there’s no reason for them to come back. They want the unexpected.” Thankfully Kristen did NOT take Tristan’s advice for the first part, but I wholeheartedly agree with the last part!! Please note that you should read at least the first 2 books in this series before this one as they DO continue storylines. If you haven't yet read any of Kristen's vampire books (GASP!) then I recommend starting with Because the Night (The Night Songs Collection book 1) and reading your way through all of them! It not only will enhance, enrich and deepen the entire experience to the Nth degree, but you will get to know everyone, see how they all ended up where they are at the beginning of this series. And of course, see how Kristen herself transformed too!! I have been following Kristen ever since I discovered her vampires in Because the Night and have been drooling over them and all of her paranormal books ever since, but this Vampire World holds a very special place in my heart (and on my bookshelf) and always will! Partly because I love them all so much - even Blade (begrudgingly admitted, but don't tell him I said that!) but mostly because they were my Kristen Strassel firsts, and in my vampire-biased opinion, Kristen's Best Work Ever!! In reading her notes at the end of the story, I couldn't help but smile when she talked about just how well she knows the characters, how she feels with, for and as them, because that is EXACTLY HOW I feel about them too!! I won't dare to insult her by saying I know what it means to write a book, or to see the characters in all of their forms, moods, etc. But I DEFINITELY LIVE & EXPERIENCE their stories with them, through them and dream about them at night! I hope that it’s all right with the girls that I say this (I think they might even agree with me!) but I truly think & believe that Kristen is the Queen of the Night Time World...ummm, that didn't come out quite right...authoring, I mean - Queen Author of the Night Time World!! "beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I was still completely smitten."

This is yet another five star read from this author. The book is excellent. It was well written and had an in depth story that continued seamlessly from the other books. I loved the intensity and emotion in this book. I highly recommend this series of books if you enjoy vampires or paranormal suspense romance.
