A Nutritious and Versatile Addition to My Pantry!
I am so glad I discovered Anthony's Organic Hulled Millet! This millet is high-quality, organic, and incredibly easy to cook. I love that it’s a gluten-free, whole grain option that’s packed with nutrients. It cooks up quickly and has a slightly nutty flavor that adds a delicious texture to both savory and sweet dishes. I’ve used it in salads, as a base for veggie bowls, and even in baking. The 3 lb bag is perfect for stocking up, and I appreciate the resealable packaging that keeps the millet fresh for longer. It’s also a great source of protein and fiber, making it a healthy choice for anyone looking to incorporate more whole grains into their diet. I highly recommend this millet to anyone looking for a versatile, nutritious, and organic grain for their meals!

Millet
I bought this millet in Aug 2021, the best by date is in Mar 2022. Just started using it in Jan 2022, and quality seems fine, pretty sure this this will stay good for a while even after March. Grains look plump out of the bag. I used a recipe I found online for millet pumpkin porridge, came out perfect and looked just like the cooking video. Recipe below if anyone wants to try it: 1. Rinse a cup of millet and presoaked it for 30 minutes. Also rinse some goji berries and presoaked it if you want to add it. 2. Put the presoaked millet into a cast iron pot of boiling water (about 10 cups), add a few drops of cooking oil, stir and let it continue boiling for 20 minutes. 3. Add diced pumpkin (1/2 inch cubes) and let the whole thing simmer for another 15 minutes. I lower the heat to medium for this part. 4. Add the presoaked goji berries, stir, turn off the gas and put the lid on for another 5-10 minutes. I didn’t stir much during the cooking process because I have a satin enamel coated cast iron. For regular stainless steel pots or uncoated cast iron, more stirring might be required to prevent sticking on the bottom. The millet doesn’t really have much of a flavor. The pumpkin and goji berries are both very light in flavor with a hint of sweetness. I usually add sugar to make the porridge sweet, but it could be eaten plain with other savory sides too as a meal. This is a really easy to chew, easy to digest recipe. Great for cold winter days or as an oatmeal alternative in the mornings. I’ve made the millet porridge twice now and have been very happy with the overall look and taste.

Love this millet
Here's a 4-star review for Anthony's Organic Hulled Millet: It's organic, gluten-free, and cooks up nice and fluffy. Great for salads, sides, or as a base for bowls. The quality is top-notch and the price is reasonable. Only thing is, I'd love to see more cooking instructions on the packaging. Overall, happy to have a reliable millet brand

Roasted millets
I bought Anthony’s Organic Hulled Millet to try out a Chinese remedy I heard about for inflammation and overall health. I fry about 100g of millet with shaved ginger slices for 10-15 minutes until it turns a roasted brown color and smells nice and toasty. Then I store it in a jar and every morning, I scoop out two tablespoons, pour in boiling water, and let it steep. It’s supposed to help with inflammation, digestion, and even support heart health. The millet itself is super fresh and has a nice, clean taste — perfect for this kind of drink. If you’re looking for good-quality millet for remedies or just to eat, this one’s definitely worth trying!

A great addition to recipes for gluten free diets.
Because my husband has celiac disease I appreciate high quality gluten free grains to incorporate into recipes. Anthony’s Organic Hulled Millet is a great addition to a gluten free grain mixture I make and that my husband eats nearly every day. I’ve reordered this product several times and it always arrives in perfect condition. The product is absolutely clean and well packaged. There’s no need to soak, just a quick rinse and it’s ready to be cooked in a recipe or just eaten alone. It’s a nice addition to salads too.

Really nice grain alternative
I really liked the idea of trying Millet. I wanted to try the variety (red one) that has calcium in it, but found that one hard to find. I wanted to consider making millet my go to breakfast porridge and possibly a side dish for dinner, much like you would quinoa because there is a big calorie difference between the two. The package came quickly and other than the birds staring through the window from the bird feeder, it pretty much cooked much like oatmeal. I did 4 cups of liquid (2 cups oat milk and 2 cups water) to a 1/2 cup of millet and cooked for about 22 minutes. Poured it into a storage container and then cut it into 4s. Doesn't have a strong distinctive flavor so I can either go savory (eggs, avocado, salsa on top) or sweeter (blueberries, blackberries, raisins, but really benefits from a spoonful of peanut butter and maybe a little salt). Haven't tried it yet as a side dish (chicken broth, celery, peppers, garlic, onions) but think it could work really well for a family that does not do well with wheat. It looks pretty clean and like that it suggests that it does not need to be soaked. Only caution is that millet is light weight so dont sneeze or breath heavy when putting in your measuring cup... you may be chasing them for the next year to come.
