Is there a difference between fld4 and fld4-04?

If the product states FLD4-04 it is a quart. If the product states FLD4-01 it is a gallon.

Has anyone tried this as a sealant for cast aluminum patio furniture?

I have not used it cast aluminum patio furniture. I used it on a metal tool box which had a lot of rust. I wanted to maintain the rust look with a stable finish. I put multiple coats on and was pleased with the outcome. It is very easy to use and appears to leave a durable finish. Only time will tell how the finish will survive.

Does it work on interior wood trim

when used with high quality oil based paint it works great on interior trim

Can I use this with water base cabinets paint?

no use floetrol, or xim extender for water based products
