After I lifetime (long one) of loving to be in the sun as much as possible, my lips developed a precancerous condition where they burn, crack and bleed after prolonged exposure to the sunlight. I started using Zinka Lip Protector Lip Balm SPF 30 several years ago when simple UV lip protection didn’t stop this unless I reapplied very frequently. My Dermatologist recommended a lip protector with zinc, this one works! Since I have been using Zinka on my beach trips no more cracked painful lip issues. It goes on clear, mostly, but as you reapply it does show the “white zinc ghosting” on your lips. Not a problem when I can go home and not have to take care of burnt lips for the next several weeks. I have also given Zinka Lip Protector to both my dad and brother. My dad having the same medical issue as I have, he no longer worries about it when using Zinka. My brother isn’t as big a fan because of the white color but still takes it on hunting trips when he is going to be in higher altitudes in the sun all day. Zinka Lip Protector Lip Balm SPF 30 is expensive but you do not have reapply as often as other UV lip protectors making a tube of it last longer than most. Bottom line, it works! I highly recommend.

After I shaved my beard and mustache I acquired my first sunburn on my lips. A co worker recommend ed Zinka and it's the only spf lip balm I ever picked up. No burn ever since! I only apply it when I see the UV index will be extremely high for the day. I keep it in my backpack in the hot sun all day at work and it hasn't been deteriorating on me either :) it will take me a long time to go through one unit so the other two I gave to my wife and daughter. 3 for $9.99 was a great investment
