Daewoo FR-044RCNM Retro Compact Refrigerator 4.4 Cu. Ft. | Mint Green

I’m going to go ahead and give this five stars because I bought this in March 2020. It is now February (mid/late) of 2025 and it’s no longer working. Seems like it was all of a sudden, I’m not sure if my 2 year old left it open all night and it overran the motor (or whatever the component is lol)But it gave me an excellent five years of keeping things cold that I didn’t want to be in the main area. To be fair, I did load that bad boy up with a bunch of stuff, so I didn’t take proper care of it and that’s on me. But I loved it so much. I didn’t care that it said “The Classic” on the front, my kids eventually scraped that off. It only said “Daewoo” inside the door at the top, so not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. It was super cute, I loved it with all my heart. It definitely helped me lose weight because I was able to keep my items separate and private from the rest of the household.It didn’t come dented or dinged up that I know of, and if it did, it was purely cosmetic and had no effect on the ability to do its job.It was also pretty quiet. No loud humming, or anything of that sort. I’m going to miss it but hopefully they re-continue this product. I’m not a fan of change so it’s going to be really difficult adjusting to something new.

I was really scared to order something like this sithchiw I have gotten damaged packages before, but this little mini fridge is BEAUTIFUL and showed up in perfect condition! It works amazingly, has tons of room, and looks just like the photos show.Only thing that’s negative is that about three fines a day it makes a teeny tiny squeak noise. But it’s barely noticeable, not even worthy of mentioning, but besides that it is so quiet I can’t tell it’s on.

I use this fridge in my shop and most everyone that comes in comments on it. Plus it works really well. spacious inside, top compartment is cold enough to freeze a bunch of ice packs fully solid, and the inside is elegant too. stoked on my purchase, great value.

Really like the fridge, the size and the style. Got it to put in a dining room as a beverage fridge. The shelf on the door is big enough to fit 2 liter bottles. Unfortunately, as others have reported, it came with dents. It arrived in original factory box, so hard to say when the denting occurs. The box had some battle scars, but nothing around where the dents are on the fridge. The dents are on the left back side just above the compressor, so I plugged it in to see it that affected the functionality. So far, it seems to be running fine, so I will keep it since the dents aren't readily visible. I guess since denting seems to show up in a lot of the reviews, maybe the dents are design feature that makes this more "retro". Just disappointed at having to pay full price for a scratch and dent item.FYI, the door is plastic, so you won't have magnets cluttering the front, but the sides are metal in case you want to put some there.

The media could not be loaded. The fridge came with 2 dints on the sides and 2 scratches on one side, not packaging/shipment related. Daewoo intentionally sent a fridge with dints and scratches!Freezer door won't stay closed. In fact, it dangles on two axes leaving a large gap underneath not keeping the froze. (see attached video)Technical Details on the Amazon.com web-site says "Defrost - Frost Free", which made me believe I won't need to defrost the fridge. However, the Instruction Manual with the fridge instructs "How to defrost: ... Set the thermostat dial to OFF. Remove foods... Defrosting usually takes a few hours". Daewoo misinformed customers stating the fridge was "Frost Free".The color of the fridge is great! That's why I wanted this fridge. But the dents and the scratches, the dangling door that does not hold frost, and the fact that I need to defrost the fridge instead of declared "frost free" make me contact Amazon for return.

No damage from shipping! I was a little freaked out from some reviews but it came home to mama safely! Were planning on using it in our tiny house as our one and only fridge. I’m optimistic- my husband... not so much. But it froze a full ice tray in the cooler box and the shelves actually hold things. I hate those little can holders in some mini fridges. So far it’s beautiful and it fits quite a bit. I’m in love!

The hubs said I couldn't store my stinky kimchi with his wine anymore, so I bought myself my own fermentation fridge. And this one is perfect! It's so pretty, and just the right size for large mason jars filled with all manner of weird and stinky things. I just love it. Also handy for storing beer.

So far so good! Have had it a few months with no problem whatsoever. Nice size jump from the little cubes you see, but it is not big. And the color! No one will come into your office and see your new refrigerator and say anything but "How cute!" Metros definitely get a star here from owning a classic style with modern, well-thought-out functionality. Highly recommended.
