D'Addario EJ95A Arabic Oud Strings

Firstly, I swear by D'Addario's strings – I usually use the high-tension, silver-wound Pro Arte on my classical guitar. I've recently purchased an oud, and the instrument was desperately in need of new strings which are impossible to get in South Africa through ordinary means. Amazon exceeded my expectations. The strings arrived to my door within a week or two of me placing the order. And what a difference these strings make – it sounds like a totally different instrument. I will definitely purchase through this retailer again. (I must add that the date of delivery had been set much later, so I was totally surprised when the courier arrived WEEKS before I expected them.) And these are fantastic strings. Very bright sounding.

I have tried many oud strings before, however, this is the best quality and sound Ever !!

Sound great and got my OUD back in action! Now I just need to practice more... LOL

Good strings

High quality strings, perfect sound.

If you want your oud to sound like a classical guitar made out of wet cardboard these are the strings for you. Strings take forever to settle, sound is dull, and are slow and sloppy on a 59cm oud. Only positives are no squeal on slides and nice packaging. I'll stick with pyramid 650 Hard pass.

These strings totally improved the tone of my Oud. I play an apprentice out from Maurice Oud Shop. They brought out the bass and allowed for deeper tunings. The sound was full and clear and just much better all around. I will be buying these strings from now on.

One of the best oud strings I've ever used, especially the silver strings, with such price it's superb. The tone looks like a piano on the oud, with long echo and very clean sound, many thanks.

I would recommend these OUD strings. D'Addario have a well deserved reputation for producing quality strings. I foolishly bought another brand and tone was no where near these.
