Do they really help to keep the alligment of your toes?

I don't know how long one would have to wear them to permanently improve alignment. Yoga toes are very helpful in releasing foot and toe tension and this does improve walking and balance for me. Because I already have a bunion on one foot I doubt these would help keep alignment in that foot but yoga toes help my feet to adapt better to that bunion.

can you sleep in them?

They are made of a silicone material, so they will pull off your feet if you get them caught up in a blanket or sheet - also if you toss/turn while you sleep. However, for a little cat-nap, they are great.

What are they made of and are they soft?

Hi Elaine, They are very soft and flexible. They are silicone. Yesterday I wore them in the shower! They are very flexible which helps to get them between the toes. When I put them on, I start at the b ig toe and work to the small. I put each "gem" in between the toes and then once done, I go back and pull slightly on each "gem" which really gets it to the base of each toe for maximum stretch. Easy Peasy and feet feel really good afterwards!
