Great stain!
I used the black stain to redo my son's dresser armoir. The black stain allows the wood grain to still show but adds the darkness I wanted for a teenage boys room. I used a matte finish polyurethane to seal it and it turned out beautiful!

Easy DIY paint
Great wood finish, just takes a day or two to fully dry. This was my first time painting furniture and I’m happy w the way it came out

THE DANISH OIL
It is what you want when you get a Danish oil. This is dark walnut on fir cannon trunnions and a walnut rifle stock. Great finish on both applications.

Tricky to get the desired results.
I used this stain on a kitchen table I made out of Ash. The tabletop is end grain, making the staining more challenging than the face grain aprons and legs. The main issue is with trying to get the color even. It's very susceptible to lap marks. I found I had to saturate the work piece and work very quickly to get it on the surface and then quickly remove it. If you let it soak in to the point where it's starting to dry, you're in trouble. Ultimately the project turned out looking very nice but ended up doing the staining 3 times until I was happy with it. That meant a LOT of sanding. And that was after spending time on smaller test pieces. The small test pieces were easier to get good results with because they lacked the drying time issues. I should mention that the humidity in my area was fairly low at the time. It can produce a nice result, but just be aware that it's not quite the same as other stains you may have used.

Great
Just as described no complaints, very good coverage. Good if you don’t want to see the grain of your wood.

Please- do not purchase!! Save yourself!!!
This is a thick gell stain that is really hard to apply and leaves the wood splotchy. Save your self headaches this product will ruin your project. FYI- I’m a woodworker who has stained many many many projects. I know how to apply stain.

Works well!
Goes on pretty easy and dries very dark, almost the color of burned-black wood; unlike black paint you can see the grain, which is the point. I haven't tried it on anything that gets abused so I can't speak to durability, but I'm happy with it.
