Not worth it
Doesnโt work really well. The knives are not sharp at all.

Now with UK plug
This works well, and will sharpen ceramic knives and even take small notches out of them.. And it now comes with a plug that you can switch to US, European or UK.

At last a sharpener for Ceramic knives that actually works
Received this Shenzen electric sharpener from Amazon US in less that 2 weeks !!Conrains two diamond wheels labelled coarse and fine which are easy to clean.Justensure you don't clean the wheels near any food !!Great sharpener , as it easily sharpened my 2 Kyocera in a few minutes. Not quite factory sharp but good enough to easily slice printer paper. A few minutes later I had sharpened a couple of addittional 2 "no name" ceramic knives, and now there isn't a dull knife in the kitchen.Hopefully I will get many years of service out of this Shenzen electric sharpener.Highly recommend this ceramic knife sharpener

Works well
Works well. 4 stars because one of the discs look misaligned but the device is still functional. I bought this for ceramic knives and it sharpens them with ease.

Best sharpener ever, highly recommended for ceramic or steel.
This is the best knife sharpener I've ever used. Super sharp edge on both steel and ceramic! With some practice, knives are close to razor sharp. Will shave hair off my arm.For best results:- Get the horizontal and vertical angles right so the wheel runs smoothly. The wheels shouldn't chatter.- Use only enough pressure to keep the blade in contact with the wheel...the weight alone is sufficient in many cases. If the motor bogs down, ease off.- Pull the knife at a steady speed...the 3-6 seconds recommended in the manual is a good guideline...multiple smooth passes are better than a slow, inconsistent one...a steel blade can burn if ground too slowly- Use the same pressure and speed on both sides (critical for getting the best edge)Note: It can take practice and patience to learn how to follow the curve to the blade tip without binding the wheel.Three possible issues:1) The slots are just barely wide enough for Farberware ceramic blades. I don't know whether other brands have thicker blades.2) 600 grit (the coarser of the 2 pairs of wheels) isn't all that coarse. It can take awhile to remove knicks or sharpen a really dull blade. But, the sharpener is electric, so it just takes a little patience, not hard work. The #1 slots are mainly for removing nicks, anyway. The 800 grit slots (#2) take care of the day-to-day sharpening.3) For Santoku knives that are sharpened to 15 degrees, use a different sharpener. The Shenzhen fine section is set to 20. I keep a manual โAsianโ sharpener around for maintaining a stainless steel Santoku. (The Farberware ceramic Santoku appears to be ground at 20 degrees, so it honed up nicely in the Shenzhen.)Buy one, you'll love it!

Very happy with my purchase but you may need a plug converter. Luckily I had one that I was no longer using
