Lavender Essential Oil by Young Living, 15 Milliliters, Topical and Aromatic Use

Great product and smells amazing

I just wanted to share my love for this fantastic lavender oil. I've been using it in my diffuser every night for over a year, and I absolutely adore its lovely scent. It creates such a relaxing and calming atmosphere. Just add a few drops to your diffuser water and enjoy the blissful experience! It's also great as an insect repellant!

I've witnessed what a good quality lavender oil can do for skin injuries; specifically burns. When my son was little, (3) he bumped into my older son who was holding a pot of boiling water (intending to pour excess in the sink) and a good amount of the scalding water slopped out of the pan and onto his wrist, which of course began to blister immediately. I ran it under cold water for a short time, then remembered my lavender oil (which happened to be from Young Living) sitting on the counter. I shook the lavender oil directly onto the burned area and within 2 minutes my screaming child had stopped crying and allowed us dress the wound, and didn't wince or cry at all. We applied a small amount of the oil daily and eventually the skin over the blister began to slough off. The skin underneath was reddish and I thought it was going to scar. He's 9 now, and you would never know. He's got no marks at all. I don't believe that essential oils are the answer to all ailments. Modern medicine is definitely needed, and valued. But I couldn't deny what I saw this time. I'm hoping this oil will have a similar effect on the incisions of my upcoming surgery. Also, some brands of lavender oil take on a sort of...B.O. kind of smell after a short time. I'm not sure why, but it's bad enough to make me throw the whole bottle away. Young living brand doesn't do that. It instead takes on a sweet smell. Like flowery sweet, not perfumy sweet. I will never buy another brand of lavender.

Lavender oil is to me one of the most usable of the essential oil sets--or at least the one I use the most often. I want to only use essential grade oils and Young Living has been recommended to me personally so it's the brand I use. The lavender oil soothes burns marvelously, is good for cuts and I have used it on scraped knees and so forth, and it is really very relaxing. Which is a compliment coming from me. (I've never particularly liked the way that lavender actually smells. A bit of an acquired taste, I guess.) The small 5ml size works for me...I don't ever really douse it on anything so it lasts a while. Also, the last one I had (in a larger size) accidentally fell and broke on the floor--so the smaller the bottle, the less there is to lose (potentially). Or just don't be clumsy like me. ;) Overall it's a great product. I like having natural remedies when I'm sure they're safe and effective, so lavender oil fits the bill. I use it for a lot of things (burns, cuts, scrapes, rough skin, anxiety, better sleeping...you could even use it as a perfume if you wanted to I guess) so I have to admit I'm more interested in its medical uses than in its aromatherapy uses. But whichever use appeals to you, lavender oil is a sensible choice.

I use Young Living Lavender Oil in my diffuser. I use it mostly at bedtime. I love the scent and it relaxes me. I have ordered lavender oil directly from Young Living as well as through Amazon. I received the same product form both places. I was skeptical when I ordered through Amazon that maybe this was a knock-off less strong product but it is the exact same potency and fragrance as the ones I ordered directly from Young Living. The advantage to me by ordering this from Amazon- I got in in 2 days instead of 10 days. I am very pleased with this product.
