Tower of Lies: What My Eighteen Years of Working with Donald Trump Reveals About Him
M**Y
Everything I thought about him. Obviously true.
Book was well written and interesting.I am glad that Barbara got to be in a top position in his construction phase and a very good negotiator. I'm pleased she is revealing this ingrate for what he is.

SHE WAS A WITNESS!
Good short-dose read of the chronic, trademark chaos that Trump loves to stir up. Firsthand experiences illustrate why Trump was and is unfit for public office.

A woman in a man's world
Overall, her experiences she details are worth the read. I found her journey through the years with Trump quite interesting. She was as fair as she could be to Trump over the years, and every cent she got from him was well deserved -- for tolerating the increasingly intolerable for as long as she could stand it (him). I won't fault her for wanting to better herself, and taking on the challenges of large projects in a man's profession when given the chance. She was paid less, which was par for the course for women that dared to enter the fray of a male dominated career.

A GREAT & REVEALING BOOK ABOUT TRUMP'S LYING HABIT !
The author Babara Res, has written an excellent book on Donald Trump and how he changed over the years in his habit of lying about everything! She worked for Donald for eighteen years as head of construction, starting on his Trump Tower, and he even became visually different as the years went by! Actually, today Donald would not even consider hiring a woman like he did years ago, for Barbara. After reading this book, it is amazing how much abuse she took from him in the 18 years she put up with him as her boss! She found that he would lie even when telling the truth would have been easier. Her writing style is enjoyable and I hated to see this book end! If you want to learn more about the "real" Donald Trump, read this book ! ! !

How to take him on
The book review. There are a ton of books on what makes this man tick. The book pretty much confirms renditions from other authors. Yet, it so desperately lacks are tactics to effectively engage the beast. On a personal note. Barbara, it's a cop out to end the book with, "So, what are we going to do about it?" The question is what are you going to do about it?You observed him for eighteen years, certainly, you have telling ideas on how to best address him. And, it's not about exposing him. This book did that, So, share those ideas with the media and reporters, For how the media now treats him is shamefully ineffective. Also, you didn't fall for his tower of lies. Share how you did that with his supporters.Mike Taleff

A true picture of Donald Trump
I wanted to read this book after I had seen 3 or 4 interviews of the author on news shows. I thought who would know better what our 45th president was really like than someone who worked with him as he got into New York City real estate. I also noticed that while being interviewed she seemed very honest and fair. She is exactly the same in her book. She writes about what he was like in the 70s and 80s before he turned into the narcissistic publicity hound that he is today. She showed that he used to be a person, although a bit flawed, before his baser instincts were constantly encouraged by fame- or power-seeking yes-men, the unusual successful that hebrought on himself by being a constantly lying showman, as well as the failure of anyone to ever hold him accountable for his crimes. I appreciate the efforts she has gone to in trying to make him accountable to the people who elected him.

Another book about Trump...
This political season, I’ve begun rating Donald Trump books by how dirty I feel after finishing them. The more personal the book is, the more awful it makes me feel. High falutin’ books concerned with policy are okay - if not a little boring - but those books that are down and dirty with all sorts of personal revaluations about Trump and his crew are depressing. However, I enjoy the depressing books far more than the boring ones. The newest of the lot - sure to be supplanted by the books coming out next Tuesday and every week, ad infintum - is “Tower of Lies”, by Barbara Res. She was the Trump’s manager of construction for many of his most famous building, like The Plaza Hotel and Trump Tower. Beginning working with Trump in the late 1970’s to mid-1990’s, Res’s job included sparring with Trump about problem building details, particularly those which were exacerbated by Trump’s ingrained cheapness and inattention to details. Res writes about Trump and his family in matters of business, which is where she knew him and is best versed in the real Donald Trump. What she writes about a man who has been disgusting to others for his total business life only seems to echo what we’ve known for years about Donald Trump.Barbara Res’s book is a good look at the Trump we know. No surprises; the Trump nastiness to most women is explored in the context of his businesses. Dirty...

Great read
Easy read. Well written and straight forward story of Trump and the way he operated in business and how it carried over into ho presidency. Too bad more people that need to read it will not do so calling it fake.

Yet another warning about this monstrous man
I have read numerous books about Donald Trump and his monstrous narcissistic personality and this is the best. It is also the most frightening. At the time of writing this review no one has the faintest idea what he will do next to try and hang onto the reins of power. Each action is more depraved than the last.I’m British, but fear of Donald Trump and what he might do to destroy democracy in the USA and the world has hung over me every day since he won the election in 2016. I cannot see him going quietly on January 20. It is, quite frankly, a terrifying prospect, especially in the midst of a rampant pandemic. God help us all.Thank you for writing the book, Barbara. I hope this appalling man does not take revenge on you.

Excellent book, confirms Trump's worst sides
Very informative, from somebody who worked closely with Trump for 18 years. Confirms what anti-trumpers have been saying for the past five years.

Mind blowing
Amazed by so much detail revealed about Trump and his dealings in business and his way of thinking in dealing with clients, employees and Heads of other Countries. Really opened my eyes to what this ex President was really like. History will now reveal more.
