M-Audio M-Track 2X2M | 2-In / 2-Out 24/192 USB Audio/MIDI Interface

I bought the M-Audio M-Track because I needed an audio interface with a Thunderbolt connection, and this was the only one I found at a reasonable price.I also have M-Audio speakers and have loved them for years, so I had a level of trust that the M-Track would be good quality. And it is. The build is solid and controls are labeled clearly. I use it to record electric guitar in GarageBand on a MacBook Pro running the Sierra OS, and it has been perfect. Setup involved simply plugging the unit into my Mac, plugging in the guitar and starting GarageBand. GarageBand recognized the M-Track immediately. It couldn't be easier. The only issue with the M-Track is that when it is plugged in to my computer, Siri no longer responds. As soon as I unplug the M-Track, Siri works again. I did not contact technical support as this is a non-issue for me but might be for others. The M-Audio web site says this unit has not been cleared for Mac OS Sierra, so I suspect that's where the issue lies.

I'm very happy with this unit. Solid build, surprisingly large and hefty, but still compact enough for a desktop and a backpack. Setup was easy, just a quick download and everything was running perfectly. The connections are snug, so once you're connected you'll stay connected; instrument level circuits via the front jacks, and mic level via the rear jacks. The inclusion of a dB scale with the levels meters is a nice touch also. For the price (about $150) it is great value compared to what else is on the market in this range.

This thing looks and sounds great and I'm a bit of a dick about these things. Also love the USB C connection. You can however use it with a regular USB as an adapter is provided. Don't listen to the haters.

Very useful recording device. For the life of me, I can't seem to get the main giant volume knob to actual do anything, but the rest of the hardware works great and I can record perfectly even without that knob. Setup with a PC was a little confusing to get things working at a specific bitrate and frequency. But the M-Track 2x2M does a great job of offering latency-free recording.

This Audio Interface worked for all of perhaps 5-10 performance hours before abruptly disconnecting and failing to recognize on any of my USB ports. Reinstalling drivers and frantically disconnecting/reconnecting has done nothing to get this hardware detected. Upon connecting the USB cord to the interface, the lights will flash through their startup cycle, but will not send any information to the computer. Switching on the +48 toggle makes the light turn on for the interface, but will not create any difference in the computer. Zero audio passes through the interface when using a standard USB audio driver, so this thing is essentially a $150 paperweight

First things first: This is a good product. Easy to use, and performs as expected. HOWEVER: 1. When you register the product, you're supposed to get a support code, should you ever need to contact tech support. Never got one. Still don't know how to get one. 2. Their website says that before calling or emailing, you should read their tech support pages, check the forums, etc. - because the answer to your question may have already been addressed. Makes sense to me - I have no complaints about doing that. But, when I was having difficulty getting my software to recognize the device, I read, re-read and re-read again. But my particular issue was not addressed. So I emailed. Their online form asks for the aforementioned support code. Never having received one, I was at a loss for what to do. Seeing as the the support code was a required field, I entered the product's serial number - not knowing what else to do. Then the next field asked for the product's serial number. Oh well. Long story short, I got the form submitted and received a confirmation email saying that tech support would respond within 24 to 72 hours. It's been a month since I purchased the product, I have yet to receive a response. 3. Meanwhile, after waiting past the 72 hour deadline, I called tech support. I was on hold, when a live voice came on and said their tech support phone lines were going offline for about half an hour. The gentleman asked for my name, phone number and product, and assured me they would call me back shortly. I never heard from them again. 4. So now I'm getting pretty frustrated and click on their little red feedback tab on M-Audio's website and mention how I've been ignored by tech support. Still haven't heard anything. 5. A week or so later, I receive an automated email that says their records indicate I initiated a tech support email/phone call, and they asked for feedback about the experience. After recording all zeros on the helpfulness and knowledgeability of the staff, I basically outline the whole story and submit. 6. A few more days pass, and I get yet another automated email asking about my experience with tech support. Hmmmm.... one must have been for my email attempt, another for the phone call. After recording more zeros, I note that I've already submitted this review, and evidently they didn't read that either. Now it's been a month since I purchased the product, and I have yet to hear any response from M-Audio - either about my original issue or the fact that I've been ignored. Fortunately, I was able to remedy my compatibility issue and have used the product several times since. Granted it took me a couple of days to find the answer (not on M-Audio's website, I might add), so I'm grumpy about the time I wasted, when I suspect tech support could have helped me figure it out within a couple of minutes. I'll reiterate that it's a good product, but if you need help, best brew a pot of coffee and find the answer yourself - you'll get no help from M-Audio.

An affordable audio interface with a big knob, what's not to like? Works amazingly well with ableton live. Perfect if you're a Macbook Pro user or just needing a big knob for powered studio monitors.

This little gem is essential if you plan on using a new Mac with USB-C connectors. Plugs in, and just works. I use it with Logic and Cubase very successfully. Thank you M-Audio for always putting out great, reasonably-priced products.

The sound quality is amazing works perfectly with RODE NT1A. Just a little delay issue buy it could be my Mac.....😬 Go for it 👍

Ich verwende das Gerät auf einem MacBook Pro mit Sierra. Es funktioniert einwandfrei, es sind keine Treiber notwendig, da es als Systemgerät erkannt wird. Bei den Systemeinstellungen muss lediglich dieses Gerät als Eingabe und Ausgabegerät angewählt werden. Es macht genau das was es soll: Es dient als komfortable Schnittstelle mit guter Tonqualität. Der Bonus Gutschein für Cubase LE ist für mich leider wertlos, da Cubase nicht mit Sierra funktioniert. Garage Band harmoniert aber erstklassig damit.

No tengo mucha experiencia con equipo de este tipo, sin embargo ha sido muy fácil de utilizar, el producto es de calidad y el sonido que he capturado es fenomenal.

Esteticamente è bella da vedere ed il parco software in dotazione è davvero fantastico, La batteria della Air software sola vale il costo della scheda. Quello che mi ha convinto a prenderla è stato proprio l'offerta software in dotazione che ha un valore commerciale alto, oltre ad essere una scheda 24/192 hz con ingressi ed uscite midi e due cavi Usb / Usb C in dotazione. La scheda è davvero ben fatta e la qualità per quanto mi è possibile testare è ottima, ci sto ancora facendo la mano per capire bene i settaggi, che comunque sono facili ed intuitivi. E' compatibile con garageband nel caso non vogliate utilizzare Cubase LE8 contenuto in bundle. Ma con tutti i Daw in commercio, Parlo di Garageband per chi come me ha un mac e lo trova già installato, inoltre non richiede driver per funzionare su Mac, il sistema è riconosciuto immediatamente in tutte le sue funzioni. Nella scatola troverete Cavi (usb/usb-c), Scheda, Libretti e garanzia, E moduli per scaricare i software in dotazione. Forse sono scomodi gli ingressi posteriori per i microfoni, ma a patto di non staccarli in continuazione non è grave. Consiglio Cuffie e/o Monitor per ascoltare le registrazioni. Per ora e per l'utilizzo che ne sto facendo sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto. Lo consiglio vivamente

mac late 2015 通常のUSBでの接続になります。 ノイズについて ホワイトノイズは無いです。しかし、使用開始した時はプチプチ音のノイズがかなり入りました。 アプリケーション>ユーティリティ> audio midi装置からフォーマットのヘルツ数を調整することでノイズ音を消すことが出来ました。 同じ症状が出た方は参考にしてください。 レイテンシーについて 環境 fl studio 20 ギターと電子ピアノを接続していますが、dawのバッファを下げれば、ほぼ気にならない程度になります。 どうしても違和感があるならダイレクトモニタリングをどうぞ。 全体的にいい買い物だったと思います。
