Exceptional Model
I'm surprised there are no reviews here. If any diecast car should receive rave reviews, it should be this one. Auto World is a great company with excellent customer service, and no I do not work with them. I procured the Mach 5 from them. To describe this car in detail would take up the page, so I'll be brief. Taken from Speed Racer cartoon this model is exactly and I mean exactly from the show. The featured, engine, chassis, hood open, doors, bird drone, periscope, jumpers, saw blades deployment, seat tilt, steering wheel moves with front wheels, trunk open, rubber synth tires, side doors open, with Speed and Chim Chim figures, it's breathtaking. The price point is right. The paint is accurate, and the car is heavy weight. Of course Speed Racer goes way back, but the car was conceptualized way ahead of it's time, even though some features were simply for cartoons, it's still amazing. As a kid I could never find a model, so I always hoped one day it would be available. If you are a fan and thinking about getting this, I would absolutely not hesitate. Auto World did a fantastic job on the Mach 5, and I'm really thrilled to finally have this model.
