Is there a plastic cover that fits over the wooden cash drawer

A reviewer said his set had a clear plexiglass lid, yet others complained about no lid. I do not want to buy it without a lid. Is there one?

I did not receive a lid. However, I simply have my grandchildren push under couch when done. I know this is not a solution some want to deal with, but the quality of the product is worth it to us. Hope this helps.

Does this money fit in a Learning Resources cash register?

The bills measure approx. 2 5/8 inches by 6 1/4 inches. You can cut a piece of paper to that size and check if it fits in toy register. The coins are true to size (measurements are same as the real US coins). Also, if you are really desperate for a money set (and have a paper trimmer) and this is slightly too big, you can trim the paper money a bit--there is 1/8 inch of blank paper space on all sides of each bill (I hope that makes sense).
