Lots of reasons to hate this.
The first pic is my old grip (Pic 1). It has 50k miles, split off, was half missing and repaired with Duct tape. I cut it and ripped it off. I replaced it with this product. I will now remove this product and put the old one back on because it's better. I will cut these up and use the rubber as dunnage then crush the metal part in a vise as a humanitarian effort to prevent anyone else from being tempted to use this as a motorcycle grip in the future. - New grip doesn't fit under the switch housing like the OEM grips do (Pic 2). It obviously doesn't intend to (I took it apart and tried anyway just to make sure), so there is not a proper seal in the switch housing and it can now collect dirt and moisture which will ruin it. This might be mitigated if the grip can be secured very tightly up against the switch housing, which it cannot because it's too loose and the rubber must be compressed to get it flush against the housing which makes the grip push itself away from the housing. (Pic 2) - The grip is too long for the handlebar (Pic 3). It sticks way out. That might be fine, but where there is no handlebar at the end of the grip, the rubber collapses into the void. (Pic 4) - The grip is too loose. It slides around the handlebar at will and will have to be glued (video 1). To keep a seal against the switch housing, you'll actually have to clamp it because the slightly malformed rubber insert pushes it away from the housing while the glue dries. - The rubber is so soft it will surely get tacky as soon as the sun hits it. It will wear out very quickly. - The rubber blisters do not travel the circumference of the grip. There is a "flat" spot on two polar sides. This flat spot makes the grip comfortable in the hand at one orientation, but 90 degrees away from that is very uncomfortable. The left grip can be installed with a comfortable orientation and kept there. But the throttle side must roll and will go from a comfortable position to an uncomfortable position and back as you operate the bike. This results in you subconsciously moving your hand to a comfortable position instead of controlling your speed. - The grips are so large that they *may* interfere with your clutch lever if the flat side is not oriented to face the lever, making the grip narrower in that spot when the lever is depressed. This is not the most comfortable position for the grip in your hand. - I liked the spiked end and the fact that there is no chrome on it, it was cheap, it was in stock and had prime shipping. Otherwise, I would not have purchased it. I'd be happy to pay more for quality grips or even OEM grips but it has been very hard to find proper grips in stock anywhere and all they sell now are universal sets. I was also looking for a bigger grip, which this delivers, except for those flat spots. - No noticeable manufacturing or quality issues. 2006 Sportster XL1200R

These were nice but the size was too small. Needed 1 inch and these were 7/8.

Does Not Fit My Bike
the left hand grip does not fit on my 2009 Heritage Softail Classic, the portion of the grip that is installed under the switch housing assembly (see photo on left) is supposed to have two different sizes, not to be perfectly round as the photo on the right.
