I used mine for my nose. Its a straight stud.

Does this stud unscrew at the bottom to put on and off

No, there is a, little ball on the end to keep it from falling out. Worked in my Niece's nose and my Hair Stylist and friends lip piercings. Set nice and sparkles alot for a small diamond. Great for the price!!!!

Anyone use contact solution to clean their piercing?

Yes. It helps. Use the most generic saline solution to clean.
