I've installed many of these screen protectors over the years on things like phones, pdas, camera LCDs, mp3 players, ipods, and Amazon Kindles. This system was probably one of the easiest I've ever installed and I have very few complaints. While I ordered the item listed here, I actually received a product called "GT Max Screen Protector" which came with a lint and fingerprint removal cloth and an application squeegee tool as described in this product, so be advised that what you receive may not be the same thing you order...As for the GT Max Screen Protector for the Kindle DX here is what I experienced:1. Both front and back of the screen protector came with a protective film that not only easily peeled off, but had numbered instruction tabs affixed to help ensure proper alignment with your screen, and the correct application to your device.2. The screen protector was pre-cut exactly to size for a Kindle DX, no need to modify in any way.3. The entire system and accompanying installation tools came in nice packaging, that helped with the organization and ease of following the included instructions (which I'd recommend following to help remove lint and any chance of air bubbles). I cannot stress enough how convenient the packaging was -- it made it very possible for one person to install a screen protector, working alone, and still not introduce a lot of air bubbles to the project. This is because the packaging helped keep one's hands free to do what needed to be done as per the instructions.4. The screen protector itself, once installed was of a stiff, heavier gauge, and good quality plastic that will protect your screen nicely.5. As already mentioned, the screen protector was sort of stiff, so it went on with almost no need to remove any bubbles during the install step, and the lint cloth did an excellent job of prepping the Kindle DX screen to remove any prior dirt, finger prints, or lint that might lead to imperfections or air bubbles after the fact.A few comments on the final installation.1. Following the directions I was able to install this screen protector kit in less than 7 minutes. You could probably do it half that time...2. After installation the screen did have a bit more reflective glare than the original screen. It was noticeably shiny and reflected overhead lights a bit more than a native Kindle screen. That said, the text was crisp and very sharp, perhaps even more so than before the protector was installed, but hey, maybe that was just due to my screen being cleaner after the lens cloth prep work :)I'll probably purchase this same package again, although I suspect this protector will last for quite a while as it is not as flimsy and easily scratch-able as some other products I've used in the past. If you manage to acquire the "GT Max" product that I received when I ordered this item, your experience will likely be similar to mine.Good luck!

We did receive the item described (unfortunately). No matter how meticulous you are about putting this cover on your DX, it is just slightly too wide to fit properly. One long side of the cover always overlaps the edge of the screen, creating a slope up onto the plastic part of the DX, which ensures there is no full adhesion to the cover. I wish we had received the unit the other reviewer received.

Don't waste your time with this for a Kindle DX. It does not fit and resulted in a complete waste of money.
