Sand Socks for Beach Soccer, Sand Volleyball and Snorkeling

I played beach volleyball nearly everyday for 5 months this year. I love these. I bought two pairs to switch out because when you work out and sweat in them, yes, they will start to stink. So needed another pair to use while I washed the other. This does a great job from keeping your feet from getting burned and blistered from hot sand. Plus, I've been playing at night recently and I wear them to keep to my toes from freezing so they work in the summer and in the winter. Putting them on is easy and I like the tall sock fit to avoided getting additional sand in them from playing. If you just need them to walk around, I think the short ones are totally fine. If you abuse them like I do, you'll get a few months out of them before the bottoms, right under the balls of feet, start to crack. They still work but you'll get a little more sand in your sock and will eventually need to replace them. Overall, they serve there purpose. They are slip resistant, comfy, and prevent sand burns. These aren't shoes to just remember that they will wear out more if you use them on normal pavement. 100% recommend for everyone, especially beach volleyballers.

I have worn these for about 4 sand volleyball games so far and they seem to be holding up. I gave four stars because they do fall down while playing and do need to be adjusted. Some sand does get into the socks but are still worth wearing in my opinion. The main reason I started wearing them is because I keep my big toe taped up and needed a barrier against the sand and sports tape and this helps in a major way.

As an avid beach volleyball player, my feet are always scratchy from playing on sand. With these Sand Socks I can confirm that my feet feel slightly smoother and that they of course do not get sandy. There is nothing worse than putting on socks after getting your feet sandy, so these are a life-saver. The fit of the socks is slightly loose, but does not impede my mobility on the court. The durability of these is fair, but then again I do play volleyball in these quite frequently. One pair of these tends to last me a season of outdoor play, so I need a new pair basically every year. I am more than willing to pay the price for these rather than to pay the price of constantly exposing my feet to the sand. On top of protecting my feet, the designs that are available are pretty sheek. I would definitely recommend these to wear and play volleyball in.

Just okay

My son wears a size 1 shoe and the XXS fits him perfectly. They are also easy to get on and off. He wears them in the pool because the bottom is rough and abrades the bottom of his toes. This seems to be more of an issue with small kids who spend a lot of time bouncing off the bottom of the pool when they are too short to stand with their head above the water. Although he wears them to and from the pool, they don't seem well suited for blacktop or cement. The bottoms are soft and woven so they don't seem like they would to hold up well to lots of walking. I can see them easily wearing through. But they are fine for the pool. Update: After about 2 months of use, my son's big toe wore right through the bottom of both. That is probably only about 8 wearings. I assume it is from bouncing off the bottom with his big toes. I used duct tape to make it through the rest of the summer. We won't be buying these for next year. I'll be looking for something with a more rubberized bottom.

Everyone at beach volleyball in the cold weather was jealous. Keeps sand out and feet warm. When sand is wet helps as well. Great traction. Style and fit are wonderful. I believe I followed advice and sized down one size. Been wearing these all summer and fall.

These are a great option for some protection when playing beach volleyball. There is a little cushioning for the sole of the foot as it is a thicker material than the upper. By using a lighter material on top, it helps the foot stay cool on hot days. It also helps keep fine sand out, though in looser sand I did still get some slipping into the sock despite it being velcroed up as tight as I would want it to be. I found sizing accurate though I would have likely suggested sizing down if you want a more snug fit. This worked well to avoid blisters from hot sand and to provide a bit of protection from sharp objects like sticks or rocks buried in the sand.
