T50 Insulated Protective Cover for Alpicool T50, Bodega 53 Quart, VEVOR 53 Qt Dual Zone Car Fridge Freezer

I wish I had gone ahead and gotten this when I first ordered the relevant cooler. As I keep the cooler running near constantly, I noticed that it can have trouble keeping things super cold during the day while parked as temperatures outside the truck reach 90-100, while I'm home sleeping, I have no idea how hot it's actually getting inside the truck... This seems to add a significant amount of insulation and allows the refrigeration system to not have to fight anywhere near as hard. Plus the bag zips and velcros shut so there is no chance of accidentally opening the cooler. Offers a clean look. Fits the alpicool t60 very well, and the pockets are great for storing the power cords. This gives great convenience, and lets me keep them with it without taking up room in the cooler. I have no doubt that the savings in foods not spoiled will compensate the cost from things left over the weekend and in heat waves. Additionally the d-rings are a great addition that can allow me to secure the cooler while I'm traveling.

Fits the Alpicool T36 perfectly. Has cutouts for wheels, handles and vents so you never need to take the cover off. Top has both zipper and Velcro. All sides and top have both radiant and foam insulation. Bottom just had radiant insulation. Appears to be durable and well made. I like that the control panel has a transparent screen over it so you can still see and control things. Only downside is the USB plug doesn’t have a separate cutout but you could probably run a cord through the opening for the handle. Not a big deal for me as I would probably not use the USB much anyway. It is a bit pricey but other than that I have no complaints. It’s hard to tell how effective the insulation is but at a starting temp of 50F in the fridge and 34 in the freezer it got down to the set temp of 38F and -4F in less than an hour. I had never seen it drop that fast previously. UPDATE: I ran a test to see how much this adds to the efficiency of the Alpicool. I set it to single zone and at 10F (in a consistent 67 degree ambient temperature). I put in a few frozen ice packs and let the freezer run for around 36 hours to establish a consistent internal temperature. I then ran it for 23 hours with the cover on and measured 270wh of power usage during that time (average of 11.7 per hour). I then took the insulation off and immediately ran it again for another 24 hours and measured 300wh (average of 12.5). So about 6% lower or around an extra 1.5 hours of run time over a 24 hour period with the cover on.

I will say that I thought this is too expensive but obviously I bought it anyway. I bought this a few days after getting my cooler because I did like the idea of additional insulation but also just the protection because I'm keeping the cooler in the back of my SUV on a permanent basis primarily using it to go to the grocery and things like that. It's a very snug and proper fit with access for the wheels and cooling fan. At first I thought I may have bought one too small but after fitting it on it actually fit perfect it seems pretty well built well put together and overall I'm happy with the purchase. I am deducting one star for price

I bought this for our Bodega 53 qt 12v refrigerator. We were driving to the AZ in our small camper van. I was concerned about putting too much demand on our 300AH house electric system. I was also a little concerned that this cover might be inconvenient to open and close, so we might just end up leaving it open. On the efficiency side, I don't have data, but our seat of the pants read on the situation was that this cover made a big difference. On the convenience concerns, it turned out to be very easy to use. There is a velcro flap that secures the lid quite effectively. If we were going right back into the fridge, we used that. If we were done with the fridge for a while, we also zipped it up. The one minor issue I have with it is that the cover interferes slightly with the handle on the right end. We don't use the pockets on the front, but they're not in the way either. If this will fit your reefer, I recommend it. More efficiency is a good thing whether you're in a hot, cold or in between climate.

This perfectly fits my Bodega T36. I just wish it had more insulation otherwise it's a great purchase.

Product title is incorrect! NOT T50 model! This insulator is for T36 cooler models 2 stars for wasting my time returning it Otherwise, build quality of this cooler insulator cover looks to be very good. It has a silver foil interior and feels about 1/4” thick. I just need to find the correct T50 sized one now..
