AMAZING verity of stamps. There were some duplicates, but not many in a pile of 1000 + the whole bunch of stamps on the outside of the envelope. LOVE LOVE LOVE this set.

I purchased this collection of stamps as art material. I was enchanted and enthralled when I opened the package. Not only will they be of value to me for my art, but they were representative from far many more countries than I had expected or hoped...places like the Vatican and Pitcarin Island. Many appeared to be even older than I am, and that's saying a lot! Well worth the money in my estimation.

These were fine for my craft project. I saved the most old and unique stamps for my grandkids. Well over 100 countries identified in this group, but many countries only had one or two stamps. Some vintage stamps from countries that are no longer. And countries I had never heard of- so I enjoyed looking them all up and reading about them. Too many USA stamps for an international group. German and UK also too many. AND WAY TOO MANY of the most common small Queen Elizabeth stamps. This is a good starter kid for kids who have an interest in stamps, or who you would like to interest in stamps. I was a little overwhelmed sorting through them so best if you plan to give them to grandkids, sort them first.

I had a kit like this when I was a kid and really enjoyed it. So I decided to try this assortment and an album to start my collection in and I am just delighted with what I got in this 1000 stamp deal. I have a few areas of particular interest in mind, such as US history, space exploration, and railroads. Much to my surprise I found a few of each of these topics that I wouldn't have minded going out and purchasing separately for much more money. I think I have already saved what I spent on this thousand stamp collection on stamps I would have bought that weren't already included. On top of that, I find the vast assortment of stamps from different countries are beyond what I knew about world geography and political lines. It has been very informative and interesting to look up each of these mystery stamps and learn about the countries they come from. All in all my bottom line is, what a great jump start to my new stamp collection, I could not be happier!

I am seldom so impressed with something that I am moved to review right away, but I am blown away by this purchase. The shipping packaging is not fancy, but it’s such great beneficial reuse and cradles the stamps perfectly to prevent shifting or bending. The stamps are equally impressive in a much prettier way; a huge selection of every kind you can imagine, in excellent condition and with no repeats that I’ve come across. There you have it; if you need stamps, buy them here. Oh, and I’m not getting anything in return for this review, so it’s motivated by enthusiasm only.

I had purchased a packet of "old" foreign stamps before on Amazon that was just amazing. I collect only stamps from before 1968. My previous purchase was wonderful. I have a fairly extensive stamp collection and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of stamps in the Amazon packet that I didn't already have in my collection. In many cases stamps from the 19th century. I estimate that some 25% of the stamps in the packet that was sent to me were stamps that I didn't already have. I am quite disappointed by this collection. Many of the stamps are from the 1970s and even 1980s. Yes, I understand that I have my own particular standard, and that for many folks 1970s and 80s stamps are "old." So I'm not claiming I was cheated here. I'm just noting how disappointed I am in this collection. I've gone through some 200 stamps of the 1,000 I purchased, and have found just one stamp that I was missing in my collection. One of the big "secrets" of stamp collecting is that many countries print far more stamps than are need by their postal system. They print these stamps solely to be sold to collectors. So many modern stamps are really not stamps that were used in postal systems, but stamps created just for the country "making" the stamps to make money by selling to collectors. They'll often have themes that have nothing whatsoever to do with the country issuing them. They're really created to make a buck and nothing else. As a generalist, I'm not very interested in those types of stamps. But this collection was chock full of them. So, again, not claiming I was cheated, just severely disappointed after having a wonderful experience with Amazon previously.
