Plantskydds granular animal repellent is designed to provide a perimeter barrier to your plant/flower beds from animals browsing around in your beds. The advantage of using a granular based product is one perimeter treatment around the entire plant bed can be sufficient for protecting all the plants inside the bed. However, an additional application of the granular repellent around plants inside the bed that could potentially be problem areas will insure a better layer of protection. The one caveat with Plantskydds granular repellent is if the plants or flowers are more than a couple feet in height. At this point, the granular repellent will only be effective against small critters (chipmunks, squirrels, etc.). Basically, when the animal is perusing around your yard you need the granular animal repellent to be in close proximity to the animals nose to effectively repel the animal from your plants. Plantskydds granular repellent is 100% organic, non-toxic, biodegradable and ORMI listed! Their granular product also acts as a fertilizer, since its active ingredient is dried blood, a nitrogen based fertilizer. Application directions: liberally sprinkle a 1 foot band around your plants, trees and anywhere else you want animals to stay away from. Granules must be visibly noticeable around the plants to be effective. In areas where a large amount of plants are in one area, such as a plant bed, apply a 1 foot band of granules around the perimeter of the bed in addition to around problem area plants inside the bed. If the heavily browsed by animals a second 1 foot wide band must be applied 2-3 feet beyond the first strip. Coverage: approximately 1,800 sq ft.when applied as directed. 3lb. granular bag.
