Good cap, fits many different models of wide-mouth insulated drinking bottles, including Hydro Flask
Good cap that apparently fits a wide variety of wide-mouth water bottles -- kudos to all these steel flask manufacturers using standard thread sizes. In my case, I have an 18oz and a 32oz Hydro Flask. There, the standard insulated cap is good for keeping stuff cold or hot for a long time, but drinking straight from the bottle is a hassle, and at least in the case of ice, a messy accident waiting to happen. When I purchased the Hydro Flasks, I also picked up a coffee-style mug flip-top cap (it's okay, but being new it's difficult to pop open) and a straw-top cap. I'd been mostly using the latter because it's convenient to use, but I can't recommend it for, say, carrying in a shoulder bag due to the chance it could be pushed open accidentally. Also, my spouse has a weird thing about not liking to drink from straws. Anyway, the Takeya cap here fits both bottles perfectly and I can't see any signs of leakage. The spout is a good size and because the drinking spout has a screw cap, it's secure enough to throw into a pack, bag, or purse without risk of problems. The little handle is kind of nice, too. At first I didn't know what they meant by 'hinge lock', but what it means is if you open the cap part far enough to be fully horizontal with the lid surface or a little further, there's a little detent which will hold it in place. Honestly though, the hinge at the moment is stiff enough the cap stays out of the way even when not in the "locked" position (which isn't really what I'd call locked). The other good thing about this cap is the price, not expensive at all. If it hadn't worked out, I wouldn't have felt like I was out a lot of money. Instead, I now have a pair of these caps which make my Hydro Flasks that much more useful.

Perfect solution for coffee drinkers!
So far, so good. After searching high and low for a leakproof cap with which to drink coffee out of my Nak Fitness Quench Bottle, I am optimistic that I have found the winner. The original cap on my Quench Bottle broke twice (and, to their credit, Nak Fitness replaced it), but it also bubbled and leaked when filled with hot liquid. I often throw my bottle into my backpack to take to work, and I was getting sick of finding that it had leaked on the floor, seat, or inside of my backpack. After trying multiple solutions, the Takeya Bottle Spout Lid has been the solution. It has never once leaked, even when filled with hot coffee. I have held it upside down, had it roll along the floor in my car, and put it into my backpack. Not a single leak. This is thanks to the solid fit for the wide mouth of my bottle and the great screw on cap with a gasket for the spout. The smaller mouth of the lid makes drinking hot coffee much easier than drinking it out of the wide mouth of the bottle. This cap is ideal for anyone with a wide-mouthed Hyrdoflask-style bottle that is looking for a lid that doesn't spill and provides a more reasonable sized opening for drinking. It is also ideal for anyone on-the-go who doesn't want to worry about emptying 32 oz. of coffee into the floor of their car or backpack. I would not recommend this product for people looking to sip while driving--you would have to keep screwing and unscrewing the cap, which would be quite distracting while navigating. Yes, you could leave the lid open, but that essentially defeats the purpose. Overall, a great lid and a perfect solution for coffee drinkers. I will keep this review updated if I encounter any issues after more use. EDIT: In June, 2017, the handle broke clean off when I pulled it out of my backpack. I was a little surprised, but I'm sure that I twisted it a bit each day. I still love the cap, so I bought another one. Just beware the handle.

is how awesome this lid is
This lid fits Hydroflask wide mouth bottles perfectly, and that is what I bought it for. More importantly however, is how awesome this lid is. Here are it's best points in no particular order. - The handle is super sturdy and moves perfectly in and out of the way. -The lid screws loose/shut without much effort but stays in place firmly. It also isn't removable so you won't lose any part of the lid. - I don't think this thing will leak, ever. In fact I don't think anybody has ever had one leak. It is awesome. -The opening to drink from is perfect to keep yourself from spilling, high enough to avoid splash but shaped so it doesn't feel like a sippy cup. You can also get a nice gulp's worth because it's nice and wide. -Textured silicone sides make it very easy to remove/put on the lid and also grab the bottle. -Easy to clean and no parts you cannot access to clean by hand -feels very sturdy, high quality and the metal pin in the handle can handle 40 oz bottles+ without any problem. This lid wins on every single aspect you would want and whoever designed this deserves some kind of award. It should come with every water bottle made, honest and is the reason why I'll purchase from Takeya for a new bottle if I need one as a gift or my old one disappears. Quality. -I am not paid or sponsored nor did I receive a discount on this product, but it's one of my favorite things I've purchased (and I drink a lot of water).

SEE VIDEO_ GOOD CAP 4 Wide Mouth bottles_ Fits my 32 ounce and 64 ounce double wall stainless steel wide mouth bottles
UPDATE_ i have noticed some leakage around the rim - droplets. mostly when i have soda pop in the bottle- i think i remember directins saying not to use with carbonated beverages- it could be the bubble gas in the soda that's forcing the droplets out. This is a good/high quality wide mouth drinking cap_ especially for those of us/you that don't like to drink out of straws or from the rim of the wide bottle._ a lot of people who bought the straw-sipper cap mentioned problems with mold on/in the straw sip/suck part__this cap may be a good alternative. it's got 2 silicone seals to prevent leaks- it's got a sturdy handle attached with a metal pin_ the loop is big enough to slip 2-3 fingers through to carry ez.. i've been using mine for approx 4 weeks now_ and it's been great- no problems_ for $6-ish i would call it a good buy/deal_ i would buy again and i would recommend and i would give as gift_ all depends on price- i thought $6 was fair_ i don't think i'd pay $10 cause some wide mouth bottles come with this cap for $20-ish give or take_ so do a search on amazon b4 buying 2 make sure U get the best price you can get an up close look at it in the video i shared- the next best thing to having it in your own hands b4 buying it.. i hope some of the info i've shared has been helpful 2 U_ thanks

Excellent replacement lid even fits Thermoflask 40oz
Works as well as the original, because it is and original. Fits tightly, doesn't leak or drip, it even fits my Thermoflask 40oz bottle. Only complaint, is I wish the D ring was a little bit bigger as I have large hands.

These are the lids that I replace cheap lids with..
Takeya lids are the best spout lids I have found. In addition to having Takeya water bottles and lids that have held up for years, I buy the Takeaya lids to replace cheap lids that came with other brand water bottles. They are easy to open and close, don't leak, and the gaskets don't fall out when you remove the lid.

Great replacement lid for 32oz hydroflask
I've had a 32 oz hydroflask for coming up on 3 years and have had 3 different wide mouth hydroflask lids that have broken. I just recently received the Takeya lid and already like it much better. The lid fits my hydroflask perfectly, and both the main attachment and drinking spout form a strong seal. The drinking spout is very nice - it makes drinking in the car etc. much easier. It also has some resistance when you flip it up, so it will not fall back on your face if you take a drink without holding it open. The rubber grip seems to be secured to the lid much better than the hydroflask ones. On my previous ones, the rubber grip would get stretched out after a while leaving some space between the grip and the bottle. Will have to revisit this section after some time to see if it holds up. The carry handle is wide enough to fit 2 fingers (I have pretty big hands) which makes it very easy to carry or clip onto a bag with a carabiner or something. The only potential downside I could see is that it doesn't attach to the bottle with the neck ring attachment like traditional hydroflask/nalgene lids making it easier to lose. This hasn't been an issue for me however, as I only take the whole lid off to fill with ice. Otherwise I just open the drinking spout, and doing so does not loosen the main seal. I definitely recommend this lid, especially for the low price.

Fits My 40 oz. Great
Got my Takeya bottle for 2 bucks at a thrift shop. It came through like a champ, if banged up, during a whole outdoor summer work season. However, the original black/grey cap it came with had a loose rubber grip piece that made opening it not easy sometimes and the top twist cap inside seal/gasket fell out regularly towards the end. Still a great little bottle keeping things cold all day using 4 big round ice balls (had gotten the tray molds on clearance at Walmart). Figured total cap replacement would be the best bet due to the outside rubber grip issue. I do plan to buy an extra seal/gasket set to have as a just in case backup. I do like that the new (all black) cap has seals/rings with a little pull out assist "lip" piece for easier deep cleaning/replacement. The original cap had all flat/flush seals.
