Wonderful sequel!
I avoided reading the second volume of "My Summer of You" for years, mostly because I was apprehesive of the direction the story would take. I needn't have worried! The sequel keeps the spirit of gentle mundanity and stable relationships, as is expected of Nagisa Furuya's works, and weaves a simple slice-of-life story that is well fit for a calm afternoon read. Chiharu and Wataru steadily develop their relationship and we also get to learn more about them as individuals, their plans for the future and their desires. I cannot wait to have the 3rd volume in my hands!

Soo gooodd !
I really enjoyed volume 1 and am happy I decided to buy all 3 volumes. I just finished volume 2 and the author did really well ! She wrote that this was her first sequel which is cute as I wouldn’t have been able to tell with how well this one came out. Saeki and wataru are older now and their relationship is still developing as they are also trying to navigate school and work. I love all the blushes and sweet words and the fun they have together. I like how these stories are going through their day to day and it feels real. There doesn’t have to be a crazy plot or twist to make something beautiful. I’m sure I’ll love the 3rd volume. Very sweet read
