Plywood Sheet Board, A Grade, 22 x 12 inch, 1.5mm Thick, Pack of 10 Unfinished for Crafts Basswood by Craftiff

These excellent 1.5 mm sheets allow you to take your project to the next level. They are outstanding in precision and quality. In the past two years I ordered 3 packages of 10 1.5mm sheets supplied by Craftiff and built two items. This 1.5mm product gave me the flexibility to make simple and compound curves which you will see in the attached photographs. The compound curves were produced by small sections of sheeting carefully mated together and finished with a thin coat of wood spackling to make a perfect finish. The first project was the front of a WWII Jeep. The sheeting very easily complied with the shapes required. The second project was a Bugatti Centodieci front end. This project was a challenge because of the many compound curves. But I have to say that your 1.5mm sheeting allowed me to convince this wood to do something very special. The flexibility of the 1.5 mm sheet was excellent to produce the shapes I needed. The uniform and finely finished sheets produced a high quality finish when painted. .

The blue panels on the drying rack (Thanks Again Vine! Love My Rack!) are these thin wood panels. I'm impressed at how smooth these are. I paint in a form using dots that need to be as flat as possible and these panels rock! One application of gesso and I get a nice pretty flat round dot. I wanted a few low cost panels made of wood so I can do a few that can be framed. These work perfectly. I'm shocked they didn't warp when I painted did gesso on them. These could be used for a variety of projects.

Love the how easy my laser cuts these

Not only is this plywood twisted, but the glue job is terrible. Some parts cut thru easily with the laser, other parts needed to be cut, and still other areas (all on the same piece) didn't even show a score mark on the back. NEW since original review. I tried to make this wood work, but after deciding to return it I realized it probably wasn't the fault of the seller. Amazon used no packing, but cut a box to size then taped it very tight. Doing this was probably what twisted the wood beyond usability on a laser. I did still have spots with too much glue, but after determining the fault was probably with packing I decided to buy another couple of packs of wood from this seller and change my review. I also contacted Amazon and told them I believe it was their fault, and this delicate craft wood should not be packed like this. Let's see if my next order is packed better, then I'll know how good the seller's wood is :)

Used for making scale models.

I have been ordering this product for a while now and have been very happy with it. But today's delivery is just wrong. The boards are all crosscut with the grain running the short way on the boards. This dramatically decreases the strength of longer projects, plus my files are all created based on the grain being the correct direction. I can't use these boards.

Used to cover cracked door panels and they worked great.
