The 30 Day MBA in Business Finance provides a complete 'course' in business finance, covering thirteen key topics which fall under three main headings - the fundamentals of business finance, corporate capital structures and financial strategies and special topics. Learn what they teach you at the world's top accountancy firms and Business Schools and why it matters to you. With guidance on understanding financial reports, assessing the credit worthiness of business partners, determining profitable strategies, raising finance and ensuring proper records, The 30 Day MBA in Business Finance contains everything you need to eliminate gaps in your financial knowledge, think like a financial strategist and become a top manager.Online supporting resources for this book include a bonus chapter on business communication, self-test question and answers and appendices. Review: Good for someone who needs to learn the basic concepts - It's perhaps less valuable for someone who has been in business, especially upper level management, for a long time. However, even in those cases, many people don't get exposed to other parts of the business than what they are in. So, if you're looking for a high-level overview, it's a good start. Review: Excellent but a few comments - I read the original 30 Day MBA which I thought was rather light so I was excited that Colin had written a more specific one for Business Finance. Unfortunately chapters 1-3 are almost copied from the original. The cost of equity calculation is now printed with the division line so it makes sense (page 80). The P/E formular is inverted (page 180). The Boston matrix is still incorrectly labelled (page 224)and other silly errors prises (page 62) lower case letter L rather than numeric one (page 215) and the vision label missing off the pyramid (page 224).One thing I do not understand is Table 1.2 (page 18) where the owners cash and bank loan is listed on the receipts but not included in the "total cash in" total. Perhaps an accountant can explain this. I am looking forward to reading the Marketing and International Business books. Perhaps Colin might write a book on the other two core areas of Organizational Behaviour and Strategy. I would recommend these books for anybody who is about to spend thousands of pounds on a MBA course so they can decide if the return on investment obviously adjusted over time is justifiable.

well-designed but some repetition
This series is well conceived and fairly thorough with lots of useful links to useful tools and websites, though with some repetition (the core course and some subject matter) among them. They would have been better together in one book (perhaps with a glossary of terms).
