Ultimately it DOES work The included manual is spot on, but it misses some things: • like mentioned in other reviews you have to disable a memory integrity feature to install the driver (which is clearly indicated how to do by windows if you follow the gui pointers as soon as it warns you) •but also mentioned in reviews is the software won’t work without an older service update however I found this to not be the case if I simply ran the setup exe as administrator and found I could still install the software after also installing the 64-but driver included in the folder •the antenna actually works but you need to tie the cable I find, I tied it a couple inches out from the usb adapter so the coil rested on the table giving the antenna just enough free slack to not cause a mess while sitting on the laptop. there is a suction cup stand included but it didn’t really work as a suction cup just a stand. the clip isn’t a spring clip it just rests on something a quarter inch thin so you might need some folded paper under the clip or something so it doesn’t wobble. Oddly putting the ears downward towards the screen helped reception and make the antenna compact instead of like rabbit ears but it might depend on the room - if you’re outside or by a window it should work easier •there is a recording feature in the program but I haven’t really tried it. If the program has faults it’s that the main cable guide is quite tiny and awkward to scroll but if you go to channel scan you can double click stations there pretty clearly. Speaking of can, you can get a short concise list of stations (not “new stations” I find you have to reset the list a few times to get a good scan) but I failed to pull up more than 1 local news station indoors with the included antenna however did pull some 50 odd stations and reception was about perfect and in some cases blu ray quality! There is a coaxial adapter to install another antenna I’d imagine it would help find more stations but from my experience with antenna tv this offers about 75% of what I was used to without a window antenna Sorry for the long paragraphs but I found the software to work and the device compact and usable

Re. Stick for PC Laptop Windows Android TV, A681B ASIN: B08Z383Y11. This tuner USB stick didn’t work on my Win 11 PC. After beginning the return process, I received a bolier plate message from the Mygica seller, Geniatech. It queried the typical: is it plugged-in, is it turned-on advice. Yeah, I jest, it wasn't quite that overt. However, email's verbiage did suggest that I read the manual and download the appropriate driver and software. My response via Amazon follows: As a seasoned Windows PC builder and user, I already thoroughly read the owner’s manual, downloaded the appropriate software as instructed in the manual & then visited Mygica’s forum, to see what else could be done. After doing this, I turned off Windows 11 Memory Integrity (as a suggest fix) to see if the USB stick and software would then function. It did not! Besides even if the tuner did function, turning off Windows Memory Integrity to force the A681B to operate, is an Unsafe and poor solution for incomplete drivers, software, or A681B hardware issues. Whether the unit I received is defective or the software and drivers are, I'm uncertain. In any case, the device doesn't function and I’m returning it accordingly. I should add for those reading this, that I ran Windows’ Uninstall on the Driver and Software. Both disappeared from the Installed programs list. However, the China-labeled-driver remained installed on the PC. I discovered this when trying to turn the: Settings/Privacy & Security/Windows Security/Core Isolation/Memory Integrity back on. It failed to be turned-on and the fault was due to the driver. A note from Microsoft said that IF Memory Integrity couldn’t be turned on, it was due to a driver that was in a list of drivers flagged by Microsoft. To remove the driver, I had to access the Command Prompt and use DOS to remove it. After doing this, and re-booting, I was able to turn Memory Integrity back on. Whether this is a hazardous driver, it is a China-labeled driver that was created in 2014, before Win 10 was released in 2015 and long before Win 11's release in 2021. Requiring a MS Device Security process to be turned-off to run the driver/software doesn’t portend well as far as security is concerned. This insecurity concern was amplified by the difficulty removing the driver. If you own Win 11, I wouldn’t recommend the purchase of this tuner stick. Whether the driver and software works with Win 10 and below, I’m unsure. However, the driver seems onerous and not worth the hassle or security chance. My intent in buying this tuner was to use it on my Laptop in case of an emergency power outage, so we could watch the local news and their radar feed. For ~$30, that wasn’t a bad option. However, battery powered, portable TV’s can be bought for a little over twice that much. Seeing as how one gets not only a digital turner (like the A681B stick provides), but also an antenna, case, re-chargeable battery and access ports for other devices, for my purpose, that seems a better option for not a lot more cost.

Connected to my Atoto A6 9" Android Car stereo & mostly works great. I originally purchased the micro USB version of this which yielded zero results, Im not sure if the other one was just dead on arrival or what , But i just couldnt get it to work after trying every possible way to properly connect the device . But this one works mostly great with the standard sized USB connection, being this is in the cab of my pickup truck i picked up different quantities of stations in various parts of town when parked. But there was an instance where i did leave it channel searching as i was driving , when i pulled over to my destination it had picked up 12 stations which was pretty cool. Only real quirk i see is that the usb connector is somewhat loose and with slight movement as it sometimes will cut the device off causing the downloaded tv pad program to shut off. If it wasnt for this i would be giving it a 5 star right now, If unable to remedy i may be having to unfortunately send it back for a replacement as almost $31 bucks is quite a bit for the little device in my opinion and should have a tighter usb connection . I would recommend to a friend with the understanding that they too may experience small problems and quirks as i have.

It works - now part of my hurricane preparation items. I am feeding it from outside antenna to receive TV from tower 44 miles away. So, when hurricane comes and I have no power, no cable, no cellphones, I can get hurricane news on laptop computer.

This product comes with very old software and drivers. I installed it on Windows 11, and I ran into the following two installation problems. 1> One of the drivers (cydtv.sys) will not load. Windows' "Memory integrity" under "Core isolation" has to be turned off for the driver to load. 2> The HiDTV application will not work with newer Microsoft Visual C++. It requires an older version of the Microsoft Visual C++. I did not roll back my copy of the Microsoft Visual C++. So, the following two features don't work. 1> Programmed recording does not work. I can still record what I am watching, but I cannot set up auto recording for future. 2> I cannot edit the name of the channels, and I cannot remove blank or no-reception channels. Also, the time for the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) is in UTC/GMT time and not in local/system time. I am in the east coast. I can pick about 50-60 channels with the antenna provided. I tried two better antennas, and it did not pick any more channels. The problem is that there are about 264 channels with no program, and I cannot remove them because of the Microsoft Visual C++ issue. Also, the USB unit gets very hot after a few minutes of use. I do not install the USB unit directly into my PC because of the heat issue. I use a male-female USB extension cable. Other than the issues I mentioned, the unit works.

This review is for the MyGica model A681b ATSC mini USB Stick. I purchased this as it was SUPPOSED to work with ATSC-v3 (NextGen) signals, and also be compatible with Linux. Unfortunately, neither of these turned out to be true. Although there is a Linux driver supplied by the manufacturer, it does NOT compile with ANY of the current Linux versions available. Attempts to build using some of the tricks some online forums have mentioned, get by a few errors, but there appears to be a LOT of syntax issues that require someone with more programming expertise than I have to fix... I WAS able to get this device working in both a Windows 10 Virtual machine and also an Android phone. However, scanning for channels did NOT detect the V3 (NextGen) channels in either environment. On Windows I used both the Software provided by MyGica & the NVPR program. None of the software products used recognized an ASTC-v3 signal (RF channel 33 out of Hartford CT), even though my Sony TV has no issues with this station. If you run Linux or you want to decode ATSC v3 don't bother with this device.

works on windows 11 and hp envy x360 laptop just follow driver install instructions, download driver, go to settings, device security, and turn off memory integrity or driver install will fail, their tv tuner software was crap couldn't install well the install kept failing so i installed a different tv tuner software i went with "SichboPVR" it works awesome, i get 31+ channels so the antenna does and works as it should, this tv tuner+antenna works as good if not better than the expensive ones that go for $100+

This unit worked great for about 16hrs. I receive 47-52 channels depending on weather. This picked up all of them and I installed the simple but functional (and small) TV software on 3 different computers. Everything was great! So easy! 24hrs later, nothing but maybe 10 junk channels. Same across all the computers. Tried different programs, mediaportal, decontv etc. Same. Tried again later and nothing. Returned for replacement. Will change review if new unit doesn't croak. Such a shame because it was working great!

Se ven todos los canales de mi zona. El único detalle es que se tiene que deshabilitar una función de seguridad de Windows porque el driver no funciona con eso.

El producto llegó un día antes, y es fácil de instalar, la versión del producto A681B no fue compatible con mi laptop, pero descargué la A681 y esa si funcionó, para que no les pase lo mismo, solo sigan las instrucciones del manual y listo...😎

Compré la antena para ver los partidos del mundial en la computadora, me funcionó muy bien. Pude ver los canales de televisión abierta sin problema. Es fácil de instalar y la antena, aunque pequeña recibe bien la señal.

Great TV picture with a lot of TV stations. Problems. PC Windows did not recognize the driver and software. Overcame that, then could not get recording, nor scheduled programs to work.

I downloaded the driver from the website as directed and all associated software, but my PC says driver error.
