This is for any drone (toy or professional). It is only a $5 fee for 3 years so it's really inexpensive, but it is required for any drone 250 grams or heavier. As of July 2021, the FAA requires all drone pilots (recreational and commercial) to have at least the FAA TRUST certificate to fly. This training is 100% free, so if you look this up, skip over those ads that pop up to charge you. Look up FAA TRUST UAVCOACH and that is an FAA approved site and the training is free. Just provide your name for the certificate and email so they can send you the certificate.
