Garcima 13-Inch Enameled Steel Paella Pan, 32cm

We used this 13 inch enabled paella pan for the first time the other night, it was my first time ever preparing paella and I followed the recipe for the traditional chicken paella that was included with the pan for my first attempt. I'm pretty sure I made a couple of mistakes, and I didn't have and couldn't find any bomba rice on short notice as it doesn't seem to be widely available even here in Toronto outside of specialty shops which I just didn't have the time to get to so I ended up using some arborio we already had around. I have to say, even without bomba rice and not knowing exactly what I was doing it still turned out beautifully. It made just enough food to feed 3 adults and two children and we ate every last bit of it in one sitting. For more than 3 hungry adults, I think a larger pan would have been needed but the small pan was perfect for a dinner for us and it was easy to handle on our regular stove top. I was surprised at how easily it cleaned up afterwards considering the pan makes no claims about having any kind of special non stick properties, all I did was add some water after eating and let it soak for an hour or so before hand washing it and it cleaned up pretty much good as new. All of the pictures I took of the pan are pictures of how it looked AFTER being used and washed. Needless to say, I think I'm going to try to make paella one of our regular meals even though doing it "properly" with all of the steps as outlined in the included recipe was quite a bit of work compared to some easier meals but it was totally worth it in the end.

Brilliant purchase, great for paella obviously but use regularly for roast potatoes etc. Perfect size for family size pies too, using 2 sheets of shop bought ready rolled pastry! Have some smaller ones too, equally versatile, brilliant to clean.
