Just what I needed to make a splint for my doggie. I couldnt afford continuous vet visits, so after xrays and first wrap i took over . He is a large dog with a full broke on his leg. After cutting it in half to size, I created a C-shape (hotdog style), and sandwiched the leg. I also cut knotches at the bottom to fold the bottoms for a footing. Under I wrapped his leg with a 2 rolls of gause, and held the 2 pieces around his leg together with sports wrap. I used fabric tape for for a shoe and one wrap to hold the sports wrap end from unraveling. It was ridged yet light. I replaced all dressings every week and 6 weeks in he acts like he is fine when I'm redressing it. 2 more weeks and I'll remove it for a brace.

I teach first aid classes and the use of these splints is amazing! They are great quality and work well to train people on how to splint.

My older neighbor fell yesterday and totally broke her radius and ulna. They were completely separated. We were a few feet away and approached her as she rolled and clenched her limp wrist. I was very pleased to have bought this affordable splint and have kept it in the car. We used some self-adhesive take to stabilize her wrist preventing damage to arteries and tendons from the jagged bones. If this were more expensive I likely would not have bought it and I appreciate that it's individually wrapped to keep things clean while it's rolling around in the medical kit in my car. She was much calmer when she saw that I was prepared and knew what to do, which is much better than using some rolled up newspaper or magazine. Bought two more just in case!
