This is 43!pound test line for fishing. How much do your wind chimes weigh? Weigh them and then buy fish line that is higher test weight than your wind chime weight. Also, over time the line will deteriorate in sunlight. So you can use double or triple strands but still be aware of effects of weather over time.

Will it disappear if cast in epoxy resin?

If you mean be hard to see, I’d guess yes because it’s clear.

Can i put a bead of hot glue on it, or will it melt?

You can use crimps for jewelry making, or tying with a drop of 579 glue or other good glue should probably work
